Been renting now for almost a year and a few months and I must be honest to say that it is not a bad place but the rental office staff is not at all customer service oriented. Here I had a simple mistake made in my monthly rent payment where I transposed a number incorrectly through portal which allows you to enter your check and routing number which resulted in them sending me a fee of $125.00 late fee. I always paid my rent on time and never had any mishaps but just for this minor mistake this level of fee is applied? The management did reimburse my account $50 dollars and not the entire amount but it still does not convince me that these sort of events are only to make money and nothing else. I will be looking to not renew my lease after this one is up. Note to Senior Property Management: If a person is late by mistake being made by transposing numbers while entering their checking/routing number then no need to fine them but possibly a warning that the next occurrence will result in a possible late fee or fine. To do it from the inception is kind of "Petty" to make one believe that in life no mistakes can be made and usually when an email can be sent it could be rectified immediately without the fanfare.
Worst apartment complex ever lived at. Haven't even lived here a full 10 months yet. People are partying constantly and getting drunk and yelling in the middle of the night. Came pretty close to calling the cops. The pools aren't even heated so only good in the summer. Not everyone, but many people find reasons to try and complain about you all the time. My husband and I always mind our business, gone at work throughout the day, come home and are very quiet and yet people have complained about us more than once for the dumbest things you can think of and that we hadn't even done. I bought a puppy to surprise my husband, had to go to petsmart real quick and buy him a few things, he cried in his kennel a short while... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY...not at night and someone complained. Windows were closed and everything and they called my husband so that surprise was ruined. And yet we hear dogs crying all day constantly but we aren't the type to complain. I suggest if you are considering an apartment to look elsewhere. You will have absolutely no privacy and people watching our every move just so they can call and complain. Management does the worst job of handling complaints, very unprofessional and we're just sick of it. And they have the worst parking ever, anything bigger than a car.... good luck, you'll be trying to fit in a spot for awhile. They tried to scrunch as many spots as they could into a small complex. Way over priced for what you get.... and if you have dogs and want hard wood, good luck affording it. A complex that allows dogs should have hard wood in the living room in every apartment. If you want the hard wood here, your easily paying over 2 grand after pet costs and the cost to have that and for a very small apartment. Not worth it, get a house! It's not for us and we will not be renewing our lease in a couple months!
We stayed at the Carmel Terrace Apartments for six months and have nothing but good to say about it! Great location, great staff, the grounds are kept very nice we had no problems at all. The apartment was as promised, we had one issue with the dryer but was taken care of within a day. We had to vacate early because of a job transfer, but they were very easy to work with and they found a renter for our place very quickly! Lisa Lucero was our consultant and she did an amazing job! Very friendly and professional! We stayed here with our dog, plenty of places to take your pet for a walk. The only downside is that people don't always clean up after their pet, but that is not a reflection of the staff, more like the residents. I saw the grounds team clean up multiple times after pet owners. Great place to live, thank you!
BEWARE!! Not the most ethical group of people. I will be pursuing action against them and will update as it develops.
This place is aweful! I hqve gotton noise complaints on my dog saying he was outside on the balcony when i have been home and he is inside with me! Then the apartments tell me its my dog! I was also hit by a kid ( like a 5year old)who was swinging his scooter thing around and didnt say he was sorry i called the apartment office and they asked of i was hurt bad i said no but i have a huge bruise on my shin and they said ohhh well what do you want us to do? I have called on multiple occasions for something to be fixed and they tell me they will have someone out to fix it and it takes days!!!! They treat the people who live here like crap! If you want to speak with the manager GOOD LUCK!!!!!! That will never happen!!! She is never in or able to speak... Even if you go there and see her sitting in her office they will say oh she is not here.... Ummm no i see her lazy butt! I have refered like 3 people here and never got the $200 off my rent!!!! So I will no longer do that and i wont put my friends in the situation of living in this hell hole!!!!!
