These people are crazy! (I will tell the short version) We were really hard up for a place to live after moving from California and living in a motel for a month. I found Stonegate on the internet and they had an apartment available. Everything seemed good and the apartment was nice, but they got pushy when it came time to sign the lease. First of all, the contract was huge! And it was only on their computer. I asked for a printed copy, but they told me to read the copy they sent to my phone. They also wanted it signed on the computer and split me and my wife up so she could sign it on a computer in the back office. After a bit I went to check on my wife in the back. Her computer was slow and was flashing "virus" warning messages. When she went to sign it, it would not let here use her own signature only some computer font. She clicked send and an error message appeared and the computer locked up. At that point we had had it with all the pressure and awkward computer crap. We told them we did not want to sign the lease, but they told us it was too late "It's in the computer". I said "Well delete it" They would not. They wanted money. I told them to "F" off. That I did not want want to live there anymore. It was messed up. It was not like we could take this contract we decided not to sign and tear it up. It was locked away in their computer and they were going to use it against us. Don't let them do this to you. They are still trying to get money out of me and its been 3 years, I never even had a key to the apartment!

I've lived here since 2011. Very courteous and helpful staff and quick responses to repair requests. Good size units and reasonable prices compared to surrounding areas. Neighbors are quiet and friendly. Overall great place to live. My only complaint is the location. I don't mind that there isn't much around it, but the wind can get pretty crazy. Invest in some earplugs.

Our Stonegate saga We lived here 2 years and it was awful. Location: It gets windy. Shook us on the 3rd floor. Ceiling fan was moving. Add that to cold weather and our heat bill skyrocketed. It's near nothing except a jail and an office building. I saw a number of recently released folks walking from there. No cell service. We had to get a booster from AT&T. Staff: Completely ignorant, liars and useless. Upon signing our initial lease we asked many questions and Susan told us what we wanted to hear, even if it wasn't true. BBQ grills allowed? She told us yes, we got a letter saying no grills are allowed. Guy below us had a charcoal grill, every other patio has a propane grill and there was a turkey fryer right behind the office. We were told the $400 pet deposit was partially refundable and the portion that is non refundable goes to shampooing carpets and such. It does not. Current manager told me she wasn't there when that was said and accepted no part of it. I have since called, pretended to be a customer and 3 times the leasing agents told me the same lies. We moved in and had to clean our place right away. It was fithy. They buffed the floors but sadly waxed hair into it. Called the front office, they did nothing to help nor did they offer sympathy. Both times the lease came up we were told a huge jump in price 45 days out. Each time the price came down further and further the closer to our 30 day deadline. We decided to stay the first year simply because finding a new place in 2 weeks is tough and the $100 a month jump wasn't worth the effort of moving. Second time jumped almost $300. The guy below us was paying $200 less and had a garage that ours didn't!! This time we had more time, found a much cheaper house in a much nicer area. By the time we gave our 30 notice the price had dropped to basically what we were paying. In a nutshell, it's like buying a used car from a shady dealership. Lie to your face telling you what you want to hear, even if it isn't true. Then when you are fed up and leaving, chase you down begging for your business.

I write to recommend, without reservation, Stonegate Apartments! My husband and I had to find new living arrangements in a short time frame, and the leasing office agents at Stonegate were beyond helpful and accommodating to our expedited move in. We've lived here for 7 months now and I have to say I am increasingly impressed with the leasing office, maintenance crew and the grounds/complex. They are attentive to grounds keeping and snow removal (in the parking lots and the walkways leading to the apartments, no matter how deep the snow). They also remind pet owners to leash their pets and pick up after them on a consistent basis. When there's an issue in the apartment, the maintenance crew is prompt (and complete the work, instead of just band-aiding it like some apartment complexes). Our apartment has good appliances -- maybe not stainless steel -- but they are quality and are attractive. The views are amazing, close to hiking, and the complex close to, but not TOO close to, main roadways and amenities. It's a diamond in the rough! They have gone above and beyond what I would think an apartment complex should do for tenants. I cannot tell you how our choice (because there were a few in the running) to move to Stonegate was spot on.

I moved in here and immediately moved out using the 30 day guarantee. I hated the place so much, I was willing to endure two moves in a month. The walls are super thin, the appliances are crappy, the place is not clean when you get it, and stuff is so stained it always looks dirty. Run from this place!
