The apartment units themselves are very nice. Each building is a little different, so it depends on your apartment. The rent and utilities are pricey. Month to month after lease is up is VERY PRICEY. They take care maintenance pretty quickly.
Do not rent a unit at this property! Unless you like: Ready access to drugs Fights and loud parties Property damage Rattlesnakes roaming the property Garbage piles around the pool Incompetent management - especially Karen and the hungover staff on Sundays and Mondays
If you want to feel like you live in the ghetto - live here!. My neighbors smoked so much pot we could not open our windows. They partied every night from 1am to 5am. They had all sorts of scary people coming and going. Fist fights on the balcony. The management told me to call security or the cops. Sometimes the security would show up - but it took several hours. The Folsom police came much more quickly, and made arrests on several occassions. This went on for nearly 4 months until these people smashed out a window in a parked car and through boulders at a passing car driving through the complex. The manager was totally unresponsive about these people until the last incident and finally kicked them out. Needless to say, I had sleep depreviation for 4 months and am finally getting the he** out of here. I have a teenage daughter and absolutely do not feel safe here any more. Awful, awful experience.
Well, I am glad I never moved in here thanks to the helpful Google reviews, I also was surprised that it took the office 8 days to call me after submitting a request online! I mean, now that I have read reviews I am not surprised at all. Thanks for the reviews guys! I work at a high end medical company in the Rancho area and was looking to move to Folsom and several other of my co workers I have now warned them about this complex. From someone in the management industry I just find this appalling.
The apartment itself is nice. We moved in to a renovated downstairs unit with a yard in the back of the complex overlooking the bike trail and trees. However, despite the apartment and location, I would NEVER recommend this complex to anyone because of the parking situation. Parking is absolutely horrendous and the staff is incompetent. We moved in on a Sat. but came by the night before to make sure we knew where to direct our caravan of help. Right away we checked out our parking stall and found a car parked in it. So we left a note letting them know that the stall was assigned to us and we would require it to be empty by Saturday morning or we would notify the towing company. By Sat. afternoon, the car had not moved. As we were moving our stuff in, the woman who owned the car in our stall flagged us down to tell us that she had also been assigned that spot. It was the second spot she had been assigned to b/c the first spot she got when she moved in six months prior had been assigned to someone else also. So we went up to the office and the staff informed us that they would locate a different parking stall to assign to us. We got a call the next day with a new parking stall, while on the phone we asked them to double and triple check as we noticed both Fri. and Sat. a car had been parked there. The staff assured us that the stall was not assigned to anyone and was now ours. So we parked there on Sun. to finish moving in. A woman came over to us and told us she was assigned to that spot and was going to have us towed. Once again, we went into the office and talked to the staff (who btw told us this spot had been assigned by mistake to THREE people). We were given yet another stall.... this time a block away from our apt. Now six months later, we now have a problem with someone parking in our 3rd assigned stall and just found out they were also assigned this parking stall. I had already called the security co. and tow truck co. to tag the car and have it towed. Had this person not flagged me down after i put a note on the car, they would have had their car towed and would have been responsible for the fees to get it out. I have discussed this situation with a few of our neighbors who ALL have had similar experiences. If there was enough open parking in the complex, this would not be such a big issue. But open parking is very very very limited and on several occasions we have had to park out on the public street. I don't pay for an apt WITH a parking stall so that i can park on the street 2 blocks away from my unit and carry my groceries in the rain to my front door. STAY AWAY! SO NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE! I wish I had picked up on the "red flag" when signing our lease the girl told us casually "oh and before you have someone towed, please contact the office first b/c sometimes we accidentally double assign parking stalls"
