My wife and I have lived here for about 2 leases. We havent had issues with them until recently when they hired a fraudulent tow company. Once confronted about this issue the staff was extremely un-proffesional. The manager is rude and has major anger problems. The apartments are ghetto as hell and the "gym" is a joke. The pool is disgustingly dirty. They charge 180 for the utilities packages which is just stupid and they are talking about raising it making jokes about how tenants don't know they are being charged for cable. Stay away!!!!!!
I posted this a year ago on apartment ratings but figured a lot of people will see the reviews on Google as well. Overall, I still would recommend other places. Goldstone Place is ok. Definitely NOT good, but definitely not bad. Update: CONS: - Got a pet and quickly realized the costs here. They charges here are ridiculous as well as the breed restrictions. - Since living here, my rent has gone up from $663 to $808. HUGE for only 2 years. - Paying for covered parking sucks and is absolutely dumb. Everywhere I've lived ALWAYS had free covered parking. - BEWARE, Goldstone charges for EVERYTHING! even for a card to use the laundry, fitness, and pool centers. Funny but necessary is the $75 fee for NOT THROWING YOUR GARBAGE AWAY CORRECTLY. Also $75 for not picking up your pets poop. - One way street thing is also bad. I've almost hit the very people who want to enforce it breaking that rule. - Heat sucks in the winter. Prepare to bundle up if you plan to live here. PROS: - The noise has died down quite a bit. Maybe all the rowdy neighbors finally needed somewhere cheaper to live. - The staff and maintenance are absolutely great. I see some people here have problems with them but for me they've been the nicest. - The size of the bedrooms are good. 07/11/2014: You get what you pay for. My roof has leaked in the same exact spot 3 times! And it took them over 2 weeks to get it patched up and fixed. Every time all they offered me was a bucket. Their "fitness center" consist of 2 treadmills (one of which is broken), Elliptical and stationary bike, and a broken cable lifting machine. A lot of maintenance and construction goes on a lot which is irritating but at least they're trying to improve the place. Overall I wouldn't recommend it and I have deterred numerous friends from moving here. It's cheap and easy to live in so if you need a budget place to live it's here. Washer/dryer units and laundry place are good. Pool and Jacuzzi are good. Staff is friendly and maintenance is as well but they never seem to fix things the first time. We lost a part of our couch because of the leak and no money was paid to compensate. Also, I've had major problems with the swamp cooler. They've come to "fix" it but it still blows a little warm. If you do decide to consider this place, do a major look over. We found dog poop under the fridge an stove from the previous renters. Our blinds were broken and there was still dog hair in the carpet. Like I said, it is cheap. The type of people reflect that. There are numerous nights I can hear couples screaming and throwing each other around. Cops HAVE been called here because of that. It IS better than Layton meadows and pepper ridge but not by much. So, again, if it's all you can afford, like me, then it is someplace you can suffer through for a bit.
I have loved my time at Goldstone Place. The staff is super friendly and they are really good about addressing maintenance issues quickly. The complex is quiet and the apartments are spacious and very well kept. Definitely resigning with them!
The apartments are decent, love the open floor-plan of the living room and the kitchen. The bedrooms are good sized. One complaint we have about the apartments themselves is their "radiant floor heating" is so under-powered that we have had to get space heaters for the bedrooms and living room area otherwise the temperatures would be at 50 degrees during the cold days. So be aware of that, the management is really nice and friends and my biggest complaint about them is that the community is a one-way street and they take their carts and go zooming around the corners going the wrong way. The maintenance staff is really horrible about this. I have lost track of how many times I have come around the corner of a turn to find them in the middle of the road heading for me and nearly hit them. In fact this is my biggest concern about this community is the one way street that they have there. Most don't follow it and when they don't they seem to get angry at you when you honk at them because they nearly hit you! Overall looking forward to moving out to get away from people who can't follow traffic signs! Basically to the management and maintenance people if you want people to follow the one way traffic then you need to follow it yourself, have more signs and more notices to people reminding them about it. I do not like nearly hitting people on a weekly basis just because they think that they can go whatever direction they want. The corners of the road are not wide enough for two and that is the reason it's a one way...
The apartment homes at Goldstone Place are well-maintained & comfortable. After 2 years of living here, I would absolutely continue on. The radiant heating, though slow to heat at first, was a nice change for all the allergy sufferers in my family, & it's location is close to both freeway access and amenities, though perhaps not as convenient for those without a vehicle. The management is constantly working to upgrade the apartments and facilities & the property is well cared for. For the low cost of living for the units, This has been an almost entirely positive experience for my little family. If I were to voice a complaint, my only issue would be a lack of storage space, as the only real closet space in the main living area can either be used as a pantry, or a linen closet, when really, both would have been helpful.
