Good price for the location. Staff is friendly, courteous, and willing to resolve disputes. Walls are moderately well insulated. You'll hear your neighbors occasionally, but not enough to make your life miserable. Plenty of parking, and a shaded car wash area. I remember reading a bunch of old reviews about stuff getting stolen, but in the 3 years I've lived here I haven't seen or heard about any issues with crime. My only gripe is the neighbors who can't seem to get their garbage bag into the friggin dumpster. They almost make it there, but once they're about 5' away they decide they left the oven on or something, and just drop their bag in the middle of the entryway. Oh well, it's northern VA, what can you expect when you're surrounded by leagues of the self absorbed?

I lived here for 2 years, and this will be my last. These apartments may seem reasonably priced, but there isn't enough parking for visitors. Caution about having friends over, they will tow your guests despite there being plenty of open spots. They towed my guest when all the visitor spots were full and he parked beside them. Also, it took 3-4 months for them to fix a broken door, which was present when I moved in. I ran into similar problems every time there was a maintenance issue, and my neighbor even lost her A/C in the middle of July for 4 weeks. If you like out of control bureaucracies, then this is the place for you. Renter beware!

Moved in a few months ago and love the new place! We have spacious 2 bedroom apt facing the pool/pond. The location is great, the staff are great and the apartment looks really nice after the renovations to the kitchen and bathrooms. Yes, you can hear people walking over head and the walls are thin but the price is unbeatable so you deal with it. Plus the staff will ask neighbors to be quiet in need be.

I also have lived here for two years. Despite what others write, every time I have any maintenance issues they are resolved quickly and every item on the sheet from move in was addressed within the first week. The office staff are very nice and do their best to accommodate any needs. There was a parking issue because the apartment next door had their guests using our spots. The only solution was to implement parking passes and rules. If a guest is coming over they need to park appropriately or you can get them a pass from the office. The issue has been resolve and yes you will be towed if you don’t follow the necessary rules. If you aren’t willing to follow rules you shouldn’t be renting. The office staff send email and paper notifications to be sure everyone is aware of any changes or happenings and even do monthly events that are kid oriented and fun. Other apartments in the area have the same parking restrictions and cost more. These are the ONLY apartments in the area with a washer and dryer in the apartment and control of your own air conditioning settings. Several other have apartment with a central A/C control (set by management) per building. If you want autonomy and your own washer/dryer & A/C control this is the best place and reasonably priced. There are many wonderful restaurants and things to do within walking distance. Reston Town Center has monthly events, live bands, festivals, and ice skating in the winter. There is a jogging trail one block away and 5 grocery stores with a mile from the apartment. There is a city bus and children’s school bus stop right out front and the metro station being built 3 miles away.

I moved here from Fla. and they made it very easy for me. I just moved into a beautiful apartment, newly renovated, facing dense trees that are high enough to give me total privacy and the feeling of living in a garden. For Reston, very good rent, ideal location, all the conveniences, services, and major highways are less than 10 mins away in either Reston or Herndon, Lovely lakeside setting, great for dogs, And I'm 1/2 mi. from Reston Town Center.
