Half these reviews are from people who don't really get things their way and feel the need to just complain. I've lived here for 5 years and have seen maybe 4 roaches to which I quickly addressed with pest control. Plus I live near the trash room which would account for more roaches but have yet to have an infestation problem. The staff is great and the maintenance team is by far the best I've had in any apartments I've lived in. Every time I need something fixed, they come and do their very best work :) the few cons I have are the neighborhood families use our amenities without living here and that needs to be addressed more properly and there are always kids running and screaming through the hallways to which the parents do not pay attention to. And they keep raising rent. They should give people some incentive to want to stay at these apartments by lower or stayed rent with lease renewal. But every apartment has pros and con, you just have to weigh everything out. Aside from those issues, this apartment is great. I wouldn't be here that long If it had all the issues people are listing.
This place is a pathetic excuse for "professionally managed" apartment homes. The staff that work at Crystal View are exceptionally rude unhelpful and very much unprofessional( except for Alex who is the only human being there). The initial tour Which sells you a picture of a nicely arranged apartment complex with numerous amenities is soon spoiled but the reality of cockroaches everywhere, garbage cans that overflow, barbecue grills that don't work, and a lack of respect and courtesy from the staff when asking them to address these issues. There are numerous robberies in the parking lot which the security does not address but instead make sure that the jacuzzi is locked at 10 p.m. otherwise their presence here is not felt. They will also tow your car if your parking permit decal falls off the mirror even though they've seen the car for the previous month with the decal on. In short, living here is an experience I don't wish upon my enemies and I hope this post is helpful for people considering to live in this garbage place called Crystal View
ROACHES. Everywhere. In the kitchen, the food, light fixtures, on the walls, the couch, my pillow, the bedroom. Everywhere. It's literally INFESTED. We signed quickly at this property without following up on reviews and speaking to current tenants. From the outside everything looks ok...nice leasing center, attentive agent, great landscaping, well groomed model. After about only a couple weeks we discovered the roach infestation. We are very clean people so having roaches everywhere in everything is disgusting. I had had enough when one fell on my head while sitting on the couch, then the next day I found them in the bed and on my pillow. The worst part of all of this is the leasing center does not care. Their solution...spraying the kitchen only every Monday....this requires hours to pull everything out of your cupboards then put everything back in. I've spoken with several residents residing in different buildings who are having the same roach issue. Here's a breakdown of what I have experienced during my year at Crystal View... PROS: -Located close to Anaheim Resort area. -Easy parking. -Affordable. -Large 1-bedroom unit. CONS: -Roach infestation. -Neighborhood: Residences are constantly being broken into, as well as cars in the garage. Neighboring apartments are trashy with trashy people. -Old appliances: Our oven doesn't even work, nothing has been updated in over a decade. -Small cupboards: Had to buy a pantry to store food items. -Loud busy street. Chapman is a mess and there is always honking and cars driving by and ambulance sirens. Sometimes it is impossible to sleep. -Poor Customer service. Once workers woke me up doing maintenance on the unit above me, no one ever bothered to follow up. With the roach issue they act surprised and offer no real solutions. As I am trying to find another place, they need to follow up with my current apartment for my rental history. For a week no one would respond to their calls or their faxes and lied when we asked them about following up said they had. Once we asked them to follow up, they only completed half and we had to go get some answers. -Street parking: say goodbye to friends visiting you after 6pm, it's nearly impossible to find parking that's not 2 blocks away. -Cheap interior: vinyl flooring lifting, half-assed paint job, crappy windows, cheap carpet. Don't be fooled by the leasing center and the model, unless you want to share your home with Roaches and have no customer service from so called management, run while you can!
My first year here at this apartment community was great, but my 2nd year and now into my 3rd has definitely changed my views about this place. Management and employees seem to change quite a bit which doesn't show stability. In addition, they don't seem attentive to your needs and the follow up is bad. The place appears to be getting trashier and the roaches seem to get worse. My lease here will be expiring in 7 months and I plan on moving out. I don't know if I would recommend this place to anyone.
Many many roaches, spiders etc in and outside of the apartments. The police are always there. There are halfway houses around the neighborhoods and the neighbors are obnoxious. The person living above me always smashed their beer bottles in my area below and so there was always broken glass and bottle caps back there. When I complained the management didn't do anything and when those same neighbors decided to be consistently disruptive it seemed like the so called night guard decided to party with them instead of telling them to quiet down. There are no quiet hours. They say there are but in my experience there wasn't. Don't rent here unless you have no other choices.
