Read the other 1 star reviews my experience here concurs with there's. I've had to call the cops over 10 times in my 2 years I was here, the punks and thugs ruined it for us. Had neighbors fighting in the parking lot, cops kicking in doors, domestic violence, loud music, dogs barking etc.... I even had to escort my wife to and from her car when she went to work because of the things the ghetto thugs would say to her.... parking is not enforced at all that little parking sticker they give you is a joke. I have had people double park behind me to where I couldn't even go to work because I was blocked in. I have also had to alert the staff that there are people passed out in the stairwell or by the garbage area. Do yourself a favor and don't move here. Be sure to read the reviews at the other Wedgewood park apartments complex because they are both managed by the same company.
Worst living experience of my life. They say that you get what you pay for and boy have I learned my lesson about the price you pay for great rent. Allow me to list the cons: 1)The management is terrible. No follow through, dishonesty, and a severe lack of ownership. 2) Pray to God that you have elderly neighbors. My neighbor upstairs was a recovering drug addict who didn't sleep so I'd be up until 3:00 or 4:00 am just listening to constant movement directly above my head. The neighbors next door smoked weed constantly and hey, I don't judge. But the smell 24/7 is awful. The neighbors on the other side enjoyed shredding it on the guitar every Saturday starting early morning into the afternoon. Working weekdays and having only Saturdays to sleep in, the lack of courtesy was appalling. 3) I had requested at the time of move in, that several things be fixed: the main closet was broken, our sliding door didn't open, and dishwasher didn't dispense the dishwashing liquid. It took 3 months-3 MONTHS for them to stop by and by that time I had already fixed everything myself. 4) After terminating the lease, because I'd found a house, I let them know the day I'd have my stuff out and was set to go. However, due to a family emergency during that time, I was unable to get my stuff out and letting them know that I needed more time was at the back of my mind. They also had an old number on file so when they tried to contact me, I was unreachable. Now, all that was my fault for which I hold myself accountable but what I cannot understand is how this happened next. I went back to the apartment to get the remainder of my things only to find that it had been cleared out, save the few things that the maintenance boys wanted to keep. After calling management to see where they had put my stuff, I was advised it had ALL BEEN THROWN OUT. Okay, understandable, that was my fault. But after going back to return my keys and wash cards, I saw in the back room, my office chair and desk. So tell me again how ALL my stuff had been thrown out??? Overall I learned that a great price in rent does not mean a great experience and I can say with all honesty that I will never return to apartment life after this, much less to the Serrano. The place should be shut down.
I have had an amazing experience with living in my apartment here. I love the amenities like the pool and on site laundry. I love the floor plans. I feel the office staff is kind and respectful. I have had an awesome time from the pool, the close distance to restaurants and other places nearby, and just the overall time the office is willing to sacrifice to make as much tasks as possible complete. They are hard working, and the maintenance is great about professionalism and are precise. They have had to help us a couple times to figure out how to get something off or clean something out. However, they were fast, precise, and great overall. I enjoy everything here and i am glad i chose this place over some of the others.
My family did not have a good experience living at Serrano Apartments. The apartments themselves are very cheaply put together and a lot of the fixtures, doors, etc. fell apart shortly after moving in and were never fixed. Had major problems with the other tenants, had to call 911 multiple times for loud parties at 3AM and constant fighting/screaming right outside our windows. The grounds are not well kept, very dirty and cigarette butts/dog feces everywhere.
I currently live at Serrano and I am getting out of my lease as soon as I can. I had a horrible experience from the start. Just getting a hold of anyone in the office took for ever. I left a couple voicemails and called multiple times and it took them 3 days to get back to me. That was before I evened moved in. When I got the keys to the apartment it was nothing like the model one that they showed us. There was no hard wood, all of the cupboards had chips and dents in them. They didn't sweep the kitchen. The cutting board still had food on it when we pulled it out. The apartment smelt like a dead animal. We opened up the fridge and you could still see the blood from a steak or meat that had dripped everywhere and they put odor control in the fridge but it still smelt foul. When I went to use the bathroom for the first time about 2 minutes after getting the keys, I opened the toilet lid and someone took a shit in the toilet and didn't flush it. It stunk up the whole apartment and the water wasn't working. They had to come replace the hose because it leaked everywhere all over the bathroom. That took them 4 days to replace. I went out and bought groceries the next night and put them in the fridge. 2 days later all of my groceries went bad because the fridge wasn't keeping anything cold. So that was $75 in groceries that went bad. I opened up the dishwasher to put a load in and there was an inch of still water with mold all inside of the dishwasher. I tried to run it but the dishwasher didn't work. It took them 13 days to replace the fridge and 7 days to replace the dishwasher. It was horrible. We had to eat out for almost 2 weeks due to not being able to keep food in the apartment. It was an awful, awful experience. They are horrible at customer service. I called the corporate office and complained and it took forever to even get through to the person I was looking for. This is just a few problems we have had. I definitely would never recommend living in these apartments. Not to mention there's a lot of trashy people who will yell and scream outside an not be respectful of their neighbors. It is horribly managed and horribly run. DO NOT LIVE AT SERRANO. That is all I can really say. And I hope someone from their corporate office reads this a realizes they really need to make some changes if they want to be successful. Get a whole new office staff and figure something out because you guys are awful.
