I have not had any issues, maybe the new management improved, from what the previous residents below posted. Been here 3 months and everythings been on point. I will review my post if anything happens.
When you hear that their is an ownership change inside you have hope of a turn around in making it better for the tenants. But that is not the case here at Westbury. My Fiancé and I have been living here for 17 months and management promises that they will upgrade your apartment and they never do, until your about vacate your apartment in a month. They decide to come in and make changes to the apartment, yet that never happened either. The front desk staff is unwilling to help you or assist you in resolving your problems or working with you for that matter. They act all nice the first time they meet you, but they suddenly change their attitude about you. They are all about sales and not satisfying their own clientele. The garbage area in this place sucks!! Worse than a Landfill. It is that bad that the garbage just keeps piling up and pilling up. Also their is an obnoxious beeping noise that you hear from inside the dumpster The reason for this is because they cant even pay their bill on the new garbage compactor and I don't blame the contractor for not coming out and resolving the issue. I give a lot of credit to the maintenance crew for their hard work of dealing with the complaints of the noise and keeping the garbage area in clean shape. If you want to live in a place where you don't feel welcome and you want to be sold by rude Front desk women and Management then this is the place for you.
Me and my fiance recently moved out of these apartments on May 24th, 2014, after living here one year. The best decision we ever made! So many things happened over this past year from management to residences. For one we were paying $950 with a $57 fee for water monthly for a 2/2. From the looks for apartment the price is well worth the cost but after a month of living there you will think otherwise. There was issues from the doors breaking to the toilet and sink breaking and other appliances inside the home. Maintenance people are wonderful people to hold meaningless conversations with, but once you put the ticket into them they never or take forever to fix anything. Your have to constantly call to get anywhere. With management, every week there's new people,so that should say a lot in it self. Becky doesn't have reliable answers, Veronica is rude after you become a tenant, Their other people in the office that have OK customer service but over all, the staff is rude .I know me and my fiance aren't the only ones feeling this way because you see several u-hauls throughout the complex and the complex has been vandalize over five times in the last few months, before our big move. First, people spray painting the signs and the garages over three times with red spray paint, after several attempts to repainting them, then the post that holds the gate was completely tore down, the gate was ran into and bent, looked as though it was hanging by a thread. If you don't believe me just ask when you take a tour. Also there are a lot of older people in the community so take that into consideration, when you want to have family and friends over for dinner or even a football/basketball night, because after so many complains no matter what the reasoning you will either be asked to leave or comply, and if your lease is not up and you rather leave be prepared to pay a $1000 termination fee no matter if your neighbor is lying or not. (Which sucked but well worth it to get out of this place!) Just remember if you want to pay high rent to live in a place where you cannot have company, rude staff and vandalism, this is the place for you! Best of luck with the sister apartments as well and transferring because they make it virtual impossible to get in contact with the property company and there pretty much all the same and good luck on your home search :)
I agree with Harley below. Worst experience I've ever had with an apartment complex. So many lies were told during our tour of the complex, silly of me to believe any of them. Half of our appliances don't even work and it doesn't matter if you put in 500 maintenance requests, none of the staff cares enough to fix it. We haven't had cold water for a week now. AC didn't work when we moved in. Dishwasher is broken. Dryer puts holes in our clothes. Need i say more?
I have written a letter and will be sending to reuven oded (the owner of the complex) on Monday. TERRIBLE. DO NOT MOVE HERE!
This is the worst apartment complex i've ever lived at. The maintenance is ABSOLUTELY horrible. The bathroom door lock has been broken for as long as i've lived here and so has my front door lock. The step coming up to our apartment has been broken in half for over 6 months and still hasn't been fixed, management is well aware and just painted over the step and when they were informed about my door i was told it "Wasn't an emergency" Mind you, I wasn't even able to get in my apartment. Save your time and money and don't move here.
