I can't emphasize enough how happy I am to live in Uptown Lake Apartments. Living in the city has always been a dream of mine, especially after studying abroad, and living in Uptown is the ideal location for young professionals in the Twin Cities. The proximity you have in this building is unmatched; you are literally on the Uptown/Calhoun Square strip within walking distance to bars, restaurants, Cub Foods & Lunds, and merly blocks away from the Greenway which takes you to Lake Calhoun. The units are contemporary, and open concept. This took some getting used to at first, but I've found that it encourages community and is perfect for hosting parties. I'm in a 2 bedroom/2 bath unit and am thrilled to have my own bathroom as well as the ability to do laundry within the own room as opposed to walking down the hallway and sharing with complete strangers. We face a courtyard and this lets in a lot of natural sunlight–perfect for waking up in the morning or enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony. The staff here are professional, and seriously the best you could ever work with. I haven't had any issues submitting a work request and not hearing back within a few days, nor have I felt left in the dark about my rent details or building notices. There are monthly resident events which allow you to get to know your neighbors and explore the area. If you are able to find an opening at this apartment and are willing to pay a little extra for location I strongly recommend you put an offer on it right away. Can't wait to re-sign for my second year!
Great place to live. One of few nice places in Minneapolis to rent. The rent is a bit high, but considering the dramatic drop in quality of living for saving a few bucks, I would say it's worth the extra cost. Also, the property management there was the most exceptional service I have ever had from a property management company. Friendly staff. Maintenance handled very quickly.
Great management, great location. It DS expensive though. Note that they cover NO utilities. You have to pay for sewer, water, trash, electric and gas, which can add up to $100 a month. Be sure to consider that when price shopping
Very nice staff; really top notch. Unfortunately they have a poor rent payment structure (can not set up autopay for roommates) and the building constantly has issues with basic things like elevators, water heaters and air conditioners. It takes them forever to get them corrected, if they ever actually do. The elevator has been down for a solid month now. I'd look at other places in uptown like Walkway, Flux and Elon. They are similarly priced.
I absolutely loved living here. By far the best office team I've ever had! Always insanely friendly and accommodating for anything and everything. Thanks!
