Apartments are large and spacious. The upstairs is the place to be. Outdated in the units but large interiors make for higher rental prices. Upstairs units have higher electronic bills for sure; like waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay higher than my house. Lots of police in and out with sirens going off all night. You can hear everything from outside. Although, I can't ever hear the neighbors. They really should update the windows to be more efficient. We have three patios one of which is literally falling apart. My 4 year old cut her foot when it fell through the wood flooring; definitely a safety hazard and maintenance has not come to fix anything so they will be hearing from us regarding the faulty decomposing patio. Our oven broke within 2 weeks of us being here only the top burner works and the dishwasher is broken only used it once and it flooded again no maintenance came after requesting them. Toilet constantly floods and bathroom sink does not drain. Carpet was stained and should have been removed after having it cleaned it smells of urine. These could be really great cute apartments as there are great people here but, they refuse to do any work. 5 stars for the interior size and layout and appearance of the outside landscaping 2 stars for the appliances and cabinets and counters 3.5 stars for location-it is on the cusp of ghetto and nice 2 stars for the local elementary school-some bad ass kids live here with parents who don't watch them. 2.5 stars for the office staff 1 star for the one way in and one way out; plus speeding cars
I have lived here for almost four years now. I enjoy living here and have never had any issues with bad neighbors or crime. I really like the tall pine trees, they almost make you think your up north somewhere. There are four pools and four hot tubs on property that are usually available anytime. The staff has always been friendly and helpful and the maintenance department has always taken care of any issues I've had in the four years I have lived here. As far as bed bugs and roaches? I may have seen one or two in my apartment in four years. My neighbors never complain about an infestations that some of these reviews on Google state. Perhaps the complainers are pigs and draw in the roaches? Yes, clean your apartment and use actual cleaners and bleach if needed. I do agree that the appliances do need upgraded. I'm going to speak with the manager about new carpet in my unit.. It's been four years and is ready I believe. I would recommend and have recommended The Moorings to my friends and family as long as they do not move in next door to me! Lol People, just come in and drive through the property, get out and walk around you will like it here. Then go into the office to view an apartment. Make sure you tell them Ron Sent you in, I want to get money off my rent! ;-) lol
Cheap rent for a reason, buildings are in disrepair and frequently require maintenance. A water pipe burst twice in our apartment. The second incident ruined the carpet and some of our belongings, and necessitated us spending a week in a hotel. Staff refused to move us to a new apartment without extra fees, and balked at replacing any damages. The property was entirely unsafe for a family to live in at that point and we felt compelled to break our lease and move out.
Theyre tooo expensive!! I have had issues with roaches since i moved in!! Im talking kitchen drawers cupboards and even fridge!! So gross ive heard neighbors talk about having the same issue and worse.. lets not mention my veichles being broken into!! Beautiful floor plans but can use quite some update i dont think its fully worth my 825.00 a month. Just saying! Think twice before moving in. Not to mention the rude office staff that have no care what so ever! Get it together you're ruining a beautiful complex with your half ass work update update update!!!
I have tried to write multiple complaints against this company, but they never seem to show up on Google. I was a tenant in December 2014 and in that short time experienced 3 water floods in our apartment causing damages to our personal property/belongings and this company shows no liability or accountability for their poorly maintained property. In addition, I filed a BBB complaint against their parent company IMT Residential due to their unethical business practices and frequent water related leaks/flooding, and filed a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office for their staff's omission of information to gain a financial commitment for a rental application, holding deposit, and ultimately a lease agreement. The office staff will mislead you if you ask them direct questions about their policies, so please ensure you REQUEST TO READ THE LEASE PRIOR to filling out applications or putting ANY money down. If you visit BBB website you can search The Moorings at Mesa Cove and find 3 other consumer reviews regarding similar issues that I am expressing here, all being negative. This apartment IS NOT BBB certified and they operate with only financial gain in mind and not truly to provide a happy welcoming home to their tenants. I felt like the office manager had more control over my home than we did, which is never how a "home" should feel when we paid over $800/month to rent OUR home there. Before moving here, I read the Google reviews and chose not to believe them because I owned a pit bull and had nowhere else that would take us. Since being displaced from this apartment, we had to surrender our pit bull to the AZ Humane Society and were homeless living with family for months due to this apartments negligence and inability to remedy these issues.
