Just checked out the place as a potential leasee and I was utterly disappointed in what first appeared to be a great pad. Though the building is beautiful, inside as well as outside, with a fair price to match; my short experience there dissuaded me. The view, if you get one, is of torn up lots, bridges, and strip clubs; the lady who showed us the apartment was unethusiastic, unhelpful, and unprofessional as she flirted with a tatooed 'dude' in the elevator who went by the name "fishbait" evidently; the location isn't exactly lively or easy to reach; and if that wasn't enough, the smell was absolutely horrendous to the point where I very nearly ripped my nose off and chucked it in the lake. For the aforementioned reasons above, I am quite displeased with the apartments and give it a 2/5. (just because it looks nice)
I have been living in the Stonebridge Waterfront Apartment complex for 10 months and I am pleased with the overall experience of living in a high rise apartment building in the downtown Cleveland area. The view is spectacular, the apartments are very spacious, the maintenance crew keeps everything in good working condition and all work orders are responded to within 24 hours. The property managers and agents are great to work with, very respectful to the needs of the tenants, and extremely knowledgeable. I have recommended the Stonebridge complex to all of my friends that have shown interest living in downtown Cleveland.
I have lived there for 11 months now, and I'm itching to get out. Not only are the front staff girls completely incompetent -- forgetting to charge our rent or take out our water bill, even though our credit cards are on file to be automatically charged -- but they are extremely rude and unhelpful. The place is beautiful and undergoing many updates, but not worth all of the stress from the lack of help at the front desk and sleepless nights from the noise levels. We have been extremely flexible with them when they need to show our apartment and with issues with the water, but this is just completely getting out of control. I’ve had to bring up an issue once per month before it was ever addressed. Stonebridge management expects you to bend over backwards for them, but offers absolutely nothing in return.
I have lived in this building for a year now. I cannot say enough good things about the on-site management: very friendly and honestly the top reason I have stayed with K&D. Previously, I lived on w6th and had lots of problems. Here, security is top notch and very friendly. I have never had a problem but you should know the neighborhood is sketchy at times. We have seen homeless people going through the dumpster and there is a homeless shelter nearby. The building has dedicated cops that are always patrolling the building and they are very friendly. If you throw a loud party they will politely ask you to turn down the music and check on things. No real hassles, no fines/warnings - just be nice to them and your neighbors and they are nice to you. The windows do get cold during the winter. Your heating/air conditioning bill will be affected by this but it isn't horrible. The appliances are not excellent (cheap), but are kept in top working order (great maintenance). The rest of the apartment has really nice fixtures (love the granite island and tiles). We did have a leak in our roof but they repaired it immediately. The hallways do have frequent water damage but they have been working on that. The insulation between apartments is excellent - I *never* hear my neighbors and, unless we're throwing a really good party, they don't hear us. Parking is very cheap under the bridge (if available) but I have parked on the street/viaduct and haven't had any problems. Overall, you can find cheaper, but peace of mind is invaluable. Would and have recommended Stonebridge Waterfront to others.
