Do not move here. I know that it is easy to assume that people who post these reviews are just overly negative - I've been there. Let me tell you just a few things about this place and you can decide for yourself. I had loud, disrespectful neighbors. Management did not seem to care. The review that says management clamps down on bad neighbors is a complete load of crap. The office hours seem to be designed to punish working professionals (10-6 weekdays, worse on weekends). There is no rent drop box so enjoy leaving work early to pick up a package or just to pay your rent, which, by the way, is ridiculously expensive for what you get at this place. The windows and sliding door also seemed to be of very poor quality - cold and drafty. My windows were too difficult to open and close so I just left them, even on nice days. The unit heated and cooled very unevenly. The maintenance crew was hit or miss. It really seems to depends upon whether they feel like fixing your problem or not. I had some issues fixed quickly. Other times they left the problem as is and still filled the ticket out "complete" (like my windows not opening and closing right). I would really recommend living somewhere else. If you're willing to spend the money, The Preserve is not likely to be your best option.
I noticed all who wrote a positive review went anonymous, that's funny. This place takes the cake. . . I've never lived at a more ineptly staffed apartment complex in my life. Good thing we are doing a month to month rental & paying a 300 dollar fee to get treated like dirt. First Month:Construction all hours of day and night. Second Month:A plethora of minor maintenance issues. Third-Fourth Month:Neighbors above us stomping all hours of the day & night, even as I type this message @ nearly 2am. Told by staff to provide proof, call law enforcement or get an associate to be present during the disturbance. Police refused to help, going to speak to Pam tomorrow who has issued a memo with a portion dedicated to making all tenants aware of good neighborly conduct. Look up Apartment Management Consultants, LLC.-They manage this property & have quite the track record. STAY AWAY FROM HERE.
lived at The Preserve for 2 and a half years. When the apartments were owned by Fogelman Properties it was way better. The office staff is not very knowledgeable about anything, besides Robin. Robin was always amazing and very friendly. She is the only one, she needs to get out of here before they take her down too. I could walk in there and stand in the office waiting for 10 to 15 minutes with no one saying anything to me. Multiple times I had packages that were lost in the office. The manager Pam is not friendly, Very rude, makes excuses for anything that is wrong, and is probably the worst manager I have ever met. She is even worse than Melody that worked at the Preserve before her. They wanted to charge me for a "Cat" smell when I moved out. I have never had a cat because my husband is highly allergic to them. We had just got the carpets cleaned and the smell was the damp carpet. Parking is awful here. If you get home after 8pm any day you are expected to park very far from your apartment. The parking was already terrible and then they added reserved parking spots for an additional fee, and that made the parking even more terrible. People will park in the fire lanes and the apartment doesn't do anything about it, but they will tow your vehicle if its in a reserved parking spots. Fire zone is for the safety of the residents. The apartments have terrible drafts through the sliding glass door and windows. So you should expect high electric bills. They put wood floors in on top apartments and they sound being below them is extremely loud. They charge you $70 dollars just to move out of the apartments. The apartment also charges a $300 pet FEE that is not refundable. Our rent jumped up atleast $100 dollars while living here. No one picks up after their pets. It takes forever for them to do the snow removal in the winter. The kitchens are done extremely cheap and have no cabinet space. I had some of the best neighbors living here, but they are all moving out as soon as there lease is up. That just shows how terrible this place is. I feel bad for residents stuck in a lease. DO NOT MOVE THERE. So glad we have left this cheap overpriced hell hole.
This place is the absolute worst. If you have a maintenance problem do not expect it to get fixed in a timely manner. In fact, when it does get fixed I'd say 95% of the time it isn't done correctly. There is absolutely no communication between the maintenance staff and the office staff. In addition they will nickle and dime you to death. You'd be better off somewhere else.
Do not move here! Its just one empty promise after another. The rates are much too high for the poor quality, service, and maintenance offered. The office staff seriously needs to learn how to treat their residents. We had problems as soon as we moved in and cannot wait to move out.
