My mom once lived there over a decade ago. She told me how deceptive the management was and billed her for things she never signed up for but paid them because they threatened to hurt credit score. So now I thought of moving there but looking at the reviews I don't think so. Some things never change. I think the owner or general manager is pretty crooked, or how else are they so consistently robbing the residents there. I also get the impression that most people won't see much of their deposits back if at all.
DO NOT TRUST THE MANAGEMENT. We lived there for just short of six years and the place was acceptable. We had issues for a long time with our upstairs neighbor's little dog barking at all hours of day and night and nothing was ever done about it, but eventually he moved. The main reason for this review is a warning not to trust the management. We moved out in July because we bought our first house and we did everything properly. We terminated our lease two months early and paid the appropriate fee with no issue. During our time living there, a couple of their cheap folding doors kept falling apart and their shoddy excuse for maintenance staff never fixed them properly. As well, when we moved in in 2009 the carpet was already due for a replacement. Shortly after we moved out, we received in the mail a bill for $173 for the carpet and those doors. It took be the better part of a week and a half of calling at least twice a day trying to get a hold of someone I could dispute the charges with. Finally I talked to Kelsey (manager of the complex) who said she would pull the original invoices for the carpet to see when exactly it was put in before we moved in and also look into the work orders regarding the doors, then she'd call me back. This was in August. I never heard from her again. Today, someone from collections called my boyfriend and threatened him that if he didn't pay the charges, it would go on our credit. The Reserve's management also lied to the collection agency about what the charges are for: they said it was utilities. Our utilities were paid in full and on time, every time, and I have the paperwork to prove it. My boyfriend paid the collector due to the threat. We were excellent tenants and absolutely do not deserve this treatment. My calls to their corporate office also went unanswered. If you care about your credit and don't like being forced into paying for non-existent charges, do not trust this company. I am currently in the process of fighting for our money back.
I wish I could give it ZERO stars! First, what is shown online doesn’t accurately describe or depict what you will get, thats one of my biggest gripes. The appliances are deemed and labeled as stainless steel, that isn’t the case at all, its plastic. Everywhere it is advertised and even over the phone we were told it was newly renovated, the renovations were done over 5 years ago almost 10 years ago. The carpet was laid over cracked and broken tile, I actually worry one day the loose and wobbly tiles will break the carpet. All the outlets are loose and are a major fire hazard. I was told that I was getting Granite counters, just no hardwood floors, that wasn’t the case. I confirmed, double checked, and made sure the unit had it before we moved in. Sadly I couldn’t inspect the unit before moving in, someone else did and they weren’t sure what the unit had. I asked if the balcony was screened in and I was told yes, that is very important because I have cats and I explained that, It turned out there was no screen. When we moved in we weren’t shown around, I didn’t even know where my unit was. I had to come back the next day and ask for a map because I didn’t know where the gym was or the pools, even still I wasn’t offered a tour. I went later that day to the recreation center and couldn’t get in because I was never given my passcode. Finally I received the passcode and it didn’t work, I would have to wait 10-30 minutes for maintenance to come and open the door for me because even though it was open the door didn’t work. The amount of times I was forced to adjust a workout or just go home because I would be late is countless, it still happens after living here for months. while I was using the gym I couldn’t figure out why the pool was never open. Shortly after getting my passcode a pipe burst in the recreation center and it needed to be dried out. I called and confirmed the day it would open because it wasn’t listed on the notice on the door. I was there bright and early in my exercise clothes and it was closed, so I called and no one picked up. I found out the new date and I was told it would be open in the morning, it wasn’t, when I called they told me it should be open some time during the day. Finally it opened, and the codes still don’t work. I walked inside to see all the workout equipment pushed around and out of place to the point that I had to move it my self just to be able to work out. I also found out from the maintenance staff that the spinning room was locked and I needed a POOL KEY, I have lived here for a few months and I didn’t even know there was a pool key. I made an appointment to see a different unit at a time that worked best for all of our schedules, we get the the lobby and they closed for lunch because they were short staffed, we still haven’t received a call and its been a month. The thermostat doesn’t work in my bedroom, its either however cold it is outside, or it is scorching hot, it took over a week to be fixed and even still it hasn’t been fixed right. There was construction on the building face for two months, it started early, very early, my significant other works nights. We over came that, but then they stared working on where we slept at and managed to crack the wall and it still hasn’t been looked into. I signed up for package notifications so that I could know when I had a package delivered, it turns out that the system wasn't set up and I have been waiting for a package that arrived since November and was never notified, I just picked it up in January.
I enjoyed the great customer service I received from Deena. She is a true professional and excellent at her job. The property was well kept and staff was welcoming. I will be leaving a deposit as soon as a three bedroom apartment become available!!
My girlfriend and I lived at the reserve for the past 7 months and it was the most disappointing and frankly disgusting experience of our lives. The washing machine dyed all of our clothes blue and the maintenance staff insisted it was working properly, the bathroom is old and we spent a week without a working toilet, the apartment was overrun with ants that were in the cabinets and our bed, and on top of that the maintenance staff requested access to the apartment just before we moved out and when we returned our 60 inch TV was gone. The apartment had facility workers that were looking in at my gf each morning in her bedroom while I was out of town as well, just creepy. The staff is rude on top everything else, reccommend that you pass on these apartments unless you don't have any other options
