STAY AWAY! The property management Cardinal Group is absolutely horrendous. They fail to communicate. They are unorganized. They are UNPROFESSIONAL and overall suspicious in general. I have tried to communicate my problems over a period of time in multiple ways. I have made in person contact, written statement and even went to corporate offices when I was told I would be called back and never did receive any call. My bedroom was infested with bedbugs. Larva was found on my bed shams and multiple bedbugs were found in and around my mattress. I made a complaint and asked for assistance right away. Where I was placed onto a waiting list for treatment four days later. After the exterminators sprayed two days later the bed bugs came right back. I immediately killed all the bed bugs and moved my mattress into my living room. I called the leasing office again. I was told I would be placed back on the list. I asked for immediate services. Which they denied. Later that night I fell asleep in my own vehicle. Which is a tiny two door=no sleep. I did this the following night as well in which I gave up and went back to my apartment. After about five days the exterminator came back. The room was sprayed. After he had left I decided to leave a t shirt out to see if they would come back. They did. I made a complaint and the exterminator came back again. This time the exterminator sprayed my entire apartment. The bed bugs came back again. This time I spoke to some of the highest personel inside my leasing office. In which I was told I would be placed back onto the list. Between now and then we had a bad rain storm and my roof began to leak. I have lead paint in my walls and pop corn ceilings. so, I made another complaint. This time the exterminator came along with the property maintenance and the lady from the leasing office. They literally pulled my carpet up. I was asked to step out of my apartment while the exterminator sprayed. As I left I realized no one else had left my apartment. Maintenance and the lady from management was still inside my apartment. So, I stood at my door and began to listen. Multiple doors were heard opening and the exterminator and lady from the leasing office were heard saying "We can still get away with this" and the maintenance man walked outside of my apartment. He was pretty shocked to see me standing there so I entered into my apartment. Where I was advised that my couch was to be the blame for the bed bugs. The exterminator stated two black dots were signs of bed bugs. But yet, my mattress was next to my couch in my living room for three weeks and did not have a single bed bug on it. It was only in my bed room. My carpet was left pulled up and not placed back. Then, I was told the leak posed no problems. I feel they invaded my privacy by going behind closed doors and then tried to put their problems on me. Like I brought bed bugs in when I bought all my new furniture since I just moved here from out of state. Makes sense?!?! My roof was leaking but nothing was done about it. No patch work to the roof or anything. Next my vehicle was broken into. Along with other vehicles on my street. I advised the leasing office agent to let resident know of the incident. They failed to do that. They placed giant signs stating Million dollar renovations coming soon. Not soon enough. The pools have been closed all summer. The air conditioner that you pay extra for sometimes does not work. During July this is very bad. Then they have the courage to put up a flyer saying they were going to use another properties pool for a pool party. The publish pamphlets to potential residents with images of things that are not even on our property. They LIE! I could continue to write about this company and property. But to say the least basically the building needs to be demolished along with the management company. I WOULD NOT LIVE HERE FOR FREE!!!!! Do your research and find a better place to go. They have brand new properties for the same price elsewhere. They probably do not have bed bugs and they probably have a pool.
I have lived here for a year, when I moved in I wasn't told that we have a huge bed bug and cockroach problem, the management at the time sent over a professional fumigator a couple of times and that seemed to take care of the bedbug problem but they will never take care of the roaches. This winter we started seeing mice in the building as well, the problem isn't how clean you keep your place, I am very careful about cleaning and never leaving food lying around, the problem is that whenever they renovate they layer new carpet on top of old carpet and new floor boards over old, it gives pests the perfect place to live. the apartments heater from when the building was first built connects the floors and the mice run up and down that. The biggest problem however is the new management, we were never informed that there would be a change and the first month they were here they lost my rent check. When they asked for a new one they sent a letter saying give us a new one buy the 20th or you'r evicted. I got them a new check and they didn't deposit it until the begging of the next month. We then got a letter saying that our lease is up, we cant renew, and they will evict us if we stay. I wouldn't mind, I wanted to move out of this slum anyway, but I had asked the new management if I could stay month to month until I found a new place, they said of course, it wouldn't be no problem. This is how a renter who has always paid on time and never gotten any noise complaints will be treated. If you move here you will be treated with aggressive letters, lied to your face, and waist your money. I will update this review in the next couple of months to report if they give us our security deposit back, I highly doubt it.
Just moved in and regretting it terribly. Roaches,
