The terrible reviews were pretty surprising. I have lived here over a year and it is nice. No complaints at all.
An absolute dump, literally. There were dogs that constantly urinated and pooped in the hallways and the staff would not pick it up even after it sat up to 6 days with mold on it. There was water damage and mold growing in my unit that they would not fix. I had to contact the City of Burnsville's health department in order to get any action done. They still did not take the issue serious as all they did to fix the issue was put a primer over the mold spots. I lived there for 6 months and was constantly sick. I ended up breaking my lease and taking them to court as they refused to let me go even thought there were lease violations on their end. The staff was lazy and careless and did not care about anyone's well being or health.
Fair warning: Their bedrooms are not wired to allow for cable in any bedroom. Weird.
No, no no. Do not rent here. The clubhouse looks nice, but the rental buildings are falling apart. Rusted doors allow bugs and mice to enter and infest your apartment. buildings are infested with mice. We hear them scratching and crawling in the ceilings every night and we see them running on the deck. The apartments are outdated 30 years, so appliances are, yes, 30 years old. And the cabinets and the rotting wood on the decks and building. We have a storage unit on our deck but it is rotten, wet, moldy so you can't use it. Dirty, dusty and unhealthy. We FROZE all winter because the windows are so poor, the cold air comes right through. It was 40 degrees in here all winter without using portable heaters. Everybody complained, but they said that the heat is working as best it can and if anyone complains about no heat when register is warm, then they would charge a fee. This is breaking simple rental laws by not providing sufficient heat. The laws are the apartment must be heated to 65 degrees. The management refuses to enforce anything about dog droppings no matter how much you complain. No one picks up droppings even though there are several bags offered. They washed the carpets in the halls, but whats the point on spending that money? They are so old, moldy and stained, it is probably time to be replaced. The housekeepers are worthless. The lights in hall are totally filled with spider webs and all they do is swish around dirt when they attempt to mop. They don't do much and are probably getting paid too much for walking around. Gross! Amenities? Really? The whirlpool never works, there is no net for the tennis court, the sauna does not work nor do the exercise machines. Tanning bed? It is not accessible. The pool and basketball area is filled with mold and you can smell it. Our apartment building has mold all over the basement and you can smell it near the air conditioners. Speaking of air conditioners, they are so old and waste so much electricity, you might as well spend the extra $ 100 it will cost you in electric on a nicer apartment. With the amount of money this place receives on rent monthly, they should have enough money to remodel a little bit especially the old, disgusting, dirty, dusty, mice infested, bug infested apartments. I will find a way to post pictures of all the evidence that will not match what they have on their website. Those were probably taken in 1984 when they built the place.
Management - rude - very curt, cocky, and even conceited when you go to them with issues. Maintenace - very sporadic and unprofessional - jobs are left halfway complete or not even touched at all, for weeks after original call Value - Very low - 3 bedroom price for a 2 bedroom, and you pay all utilities except heat. Notes - Random tenants have come to me complaining, with similar issues as above. This apartment is not one you should pick. The only good thing about it is the location, which is why it got 2 stars instead of one. Overall, I highly suggest you keep looking. You will NOT enjoy your stay here. I have lived in "ghetto" apartments that were a lot better than this place.
