This used to be a great place to live, but the standards of the property has gone down, while rent prices continue to increase. The rent has gone up almost $300/mo for a two bedroom since 2014, yet the property staff attempt to increase over $100 at each lease renewal (although they are "willing" to negotiate. The new building and the old buildings are named the same, and have the same sign, which confuses visitors. Oh! And this past Sunday, a family of 3 were riding ATVs in the parking lot.... In addition to that here are a few more complaints: -I have several things in my apartment that I've asked to be fixed several times with no permanent solution; only someone to come and clean up the mess and tell me they aren't sure what's causing the issue. -The grounds are oftentimes covered in dog crap and trash. I know that this is because the residents don't clean up after themselves but the property management should clean up trash every morning (like they used to). -Since I've lived here the management company has changed 4 times, and I only moved in in 2014. -The parking spaces are too small (they made them smaller by repaving) - The computers in the lobby for resident use are constantly breaking, the speakers in the rent-able lobby space are broken, the gym equipment is old
I moved out of this complex February 6th 2016 and never received my security deposit. I have contacted them multiple times with no one knowing what to do, since they have switched management companies multiple times. I will be taking the owner to court. Save yourself the hassle and do NOT move here!
The apartment itself was a decent size and the kitchen was updated. The staff can't respond to emails. The maintenance workers lack the decency of acknowledging your presence and are extremely unfriendly. They will use any excuse to go into your apartment and will never knock first. The construction workers are awful at picking up after themselves resulting in nails and staples all over the parking lot. I've had to replace a tire already from their mess. I understand quiet is rare in an apartment complex but if you have someone living above you it will sound like they are falling through the ceiling. You can hear your above neighbor opening drawers and every step they take. Most people living here do not have any consideration for others and do not respect that people have to get up for work in the morning. I have not had a full nights sleep since living here because it is so loud. The train is not even an issue when you have obnoxious neighbors to deal with daily. If you don't mind being ignored, replacing tires, and lack of sleep then you'll be fine here.
Our lease is up in October, and we will not be renewing. There is an extremely high turnover rate with the leasing staff, and the new employees are rude. I have not seen the same face twice for the last 3 months except for Kevin, then he left too! The Office does not keep it's residents informed of what's going on and will give you less than 24 hours notice when they are doing safety inspections. The maintenance staff is rude, but apparently only if you are female, because they are perfectly nice to my boyfriend. I have had packages lost, and when I told the office I was upset that they lost my package, some lady I have never met before had the nerve to tell me to calm down. When I called corporate, they said the regional officer is acting as the Manager until they hire a new one, and she will get into contact with me to resolve the issues, but she never called me. Not to mention there are residents who have fights outside and let their drunken guests knock on all the doors at all hours of the night. Not that it matters, since you can hear everything the neighbors do and say. The parking issue has yet to be resolved, and instead of making new spaces in the newly built section, they turned most of that space into grassy area. So once the shops open, you will have non residents parking in the closest spots, forcing residents to park across the complex at night, which has happened several times. Not a safe decision if you are a young female, as there are also strange men to like to park in the back and sit in their cars for no apparent reason. I would not waste your money, I am paying far too much for a one bedroom apartment to be having all of these issues.
The fixtures, appliances and recreation facilities are great. There are train tracks very, very nearby. The new management is rude which makes regular things more unpleasant than they need to be. The basic construction quality appears to be poor. We had plenty of mold/mildew issues which we never had in other apartments before. We're moving out! Hoping to find a place with better ventilation and definitely a bit nicer staff somewhere else.
