I'd just like to say, in general, people tend to only write reviews on here when they've had a bad experience. So take reviews you read on here with a grain of salt. But I just wanted to say, after being "evacuated" for rain damage to the apartments I was living in (which basically meant kicked out with less than 2 weeks to find a new place to live, no relocation assistance, and no idea what I was going to do), Kathie (sp?) was extremely helpful and compassionate in finding something that would work out, and I am now enjoying my Memorial Day weekend with the peace of mind that I have a place to live come the first of the month. Even though I haven't moved in yet (even though I will say, they are really nice apartments with ample space and I love the wood floors and it seems like will be a fun place to live!), Kathie was just so kind and really listened to me and humanized the process so much, and I was just so thankful and felt like something like that deserved a good review :). THIS is who you want to rent from. You sometimes just have to deal with stuff like noisy neighbors, dog mess, etc., in apartments.
I will be fair. I liked it when I was living here, the only disadvantage I had in mind was it's no where close to any groceries. The staff was friendly to me during my stay. However, when I moved out they charged me a lot of money for removing bags of garbage out of my room(Being first time renting apartment I naively thought it would be included in the cleaning service charge). And in the end I didn't get my deposit back and still owe the company money. I know it's an easy trap for company to charge us money and anyone with experience would know to avoid it. I just don't feel like this is the way to treat someone after they are done doing business with you. I personally wouldn't recommend anyone live here based on how I got treated in the end.
We had a bad situation with our neighbors downstairs. They would constantly complain about anything they could and made living here awful. However, the Catania management helped us with our situation and found us an alternate solution for which I am beyond thankful for. So overall, our neighbors sucked but the staff is willing to help.
Spend your money elsewhere. These are labeled as luxury apartments, but they are far from it. The staff could care less about you. Once they have you here they will do nothing to help you out. The rules are not enforced. Apartment floors are thin so that it sounds as if the people above you are about to come through the ceiling at any moment. We have to sleep with earplugs in and a radio on as loud as possible to try and drown out the noise from the people above us who seem to never sleep. We hear every step they take. Our son was recently home from college for a week. He said, "How do you guys even sleep here? This place is worse than my dorm!" The buildings are not secure - the garage doors are always broken and people leave the stairwell doors open all the time - so anyone could get in the buildings at any time. They are quick to be loose with the rules except where it benefits them. Pet owners do not clean up after their pets both inside and out. It is no surprise to get into the elevator and find a dog has relieved himself there without the owner cleaning it up. We have been left to clean up backed up toilets and other plumbing issues over and over again being told that it is not an emergency and they will try to send someone when they have time. They never show up. There is too much wrong with this place to even write about here. You definitely do not get what you pay for. You are dealing with a heartless corporation. You are only a number to them and they are only interested in your money but giving you nothing in return. Don't say I didn't warn you! Update: Counting our days until our lease is up - advice: don't sign a long-term here. Woke up this morning to people camping outside our window with generator going full blast. They told us management said it was okay!!! Seriously!! It looks like a trailer park outside our window and this is luxury? We called the office when the generator started up and there was no answer. We then went over to the office and there was no one there. We finally saw a girl from the office and tried to ask her if they were aware of the camper and generator or if we should call the police, but we couldn't even get the question out because she started yelling at us that we were not allowed to talk to her while she was giving a tour. I sure hope the person she was giving the tour to got a feel for the treatment here once you move in.
The walls and floors are ridiculously thin. I can hear the neighbors beside me watching TV all night long. I can hear the neighbors and their annoying dog above me trampling throughout their apartment. It honestly sounds like a stampede of elephants. The wireless internet in the clubhouse is very slow. The movie room is always locked. At least one, sometimes two, of the three treadmills in the gym have been broken since I moved in. Some residents don't pick up after their dogs even though there are baggies and trash cans everywhere. I can live with all of the above. What I find to be most intolerable is Morgan, the assistant leasing manager. She has a major attitude problem. She does not speak to residents in a respectful manner. She tells you she'll do something for you, but it never happens. She tells you she'll call you when things are ready, but it never happens. You constantly have to nag at her. She always says she knows which apartment you live in, but hell if she has a clue. She's given me keys for other residents' apartments before. Is Morgan incompetent? I think so.
