Do not move here!! Let me start off with we just moved out a couple weeks ago and today got the letter for our deposit refund. We will be receiving $64 out of our $600 deposit. I looked at all the charges and the cleaning I understood (they go through cleaning vendors so of course they will charge more) Well I noticed a charge of a $101 for basically not fulfilling the 60 day notice, mind you I turned in my keys and stickers TWO days before I was "supposed" to move out. I was not aware of that nor was I told by the manager when I turned them in. I went into the office today to fight them about it and was told it's written on my lease that I was to move out on the 20th of July, and they decided it was okay to charge me $101 for turning in my keys TWO days before the original move out day. I find it mind blowing that they pretty much took the whole $600 deposit. Next, the parking is absolutely terrible. No assigned parking what so ever and if you get there past 5 pm good luck finding parking near your place and weekends are a joke, no one leaves. Pool-pointless! Constantly full of kids and families who don't even live in the complex but use the pool. Mailbox- we lived in building 8 and had a mailbox directly across the hallway to our apartment but instead out mailbox was across the complex near the leasing office instead of the one right in FRONT. Completely inconvenient! Management-management isn't all too bad, all though they send out all these threatening emails about enforcing the rules with parking and the pool, it NEVER happens. And the cherry on top, they sent out a email the week before I was supposed to move out saying they will no longer be allowing packages to be sent to the office, therefore you have to go pick them up from the local post office or UPS store if you have a package. As you can tell I'm obviously upset but I would not recommend this community to anyone. They charge way too much and it's absolutely not worth it. We hated it when we lived there and I hate it even more after they decided to take $600 from me. I'm one of those people that will read reviews about something but think to myself you don't really know until you try it yourself, well this place is not something that you should try. Don't waste your money!
The workers are rude and don't even act like they care.
Parking is terrible, some of the neighbors are loud and most are inconsiderate. The security is a JOKE. The staff used to be phenomenal, but one left and one went on maternity leave. Can't wait til shes back. Since they left, service has declined considerably. Never expect to get your phone call answered by on site staff. Etc etc. however the apartments themselves are nice.
I was looking around Chula Vista for an apartment and what really struck me about Camden was the helpfulness of leasing agent, Leticia. The leasing office and facilities are presentable. I have no issues with my apartment - maintenance is there to help if anything's the matter. Chris is the other awesome leasing agent - he is knowledgeable and truly friendly. Downsides: Costs of having cable TV (~$45 per month) is mandatory per month, I had to request my apartment be cleaned after moving in - it was dusty and I was ill for a week, and non-emergency maintenance request/cleaning were never on time. On a personal note, I dislike dealing with Famie the assistant community manager - she is not as warm and helpful as Chris and Leticia are.
Nice apartments and town homes
