Loved our experience here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The room price was very reasonable for the location (which was great being so close to downtown!) not to mention the decor and look of this hotel is modern, fun, and cute. Would definitely stay here again.
I ordered one queen bed room from Priceline. The room was for two people. But I didn't expect the room to be so small. After I paid extra money, they allowed me change to a two bed room.
Usually we stay on Michigan Ave in the middle of the hustle and bustle. At first I was worried to stay a little more off the beaten path. We loved the location. We got to see much more of Chicago!
Cute space painted in vibrant colors (orange, pink, yellow, green, white). Doesn't look crazy, but fun. Free Wifi and freshly baked cookies included. Lots of little nooks to sit around informally in small groups between 2 and 8 in the lobby. Everyone on the staff is wonderful, and the service speed is unreal. We called to ask for a baby crib and had one within minutes. We also needed a repairman for our sink -- same thing; he showed up and had the issue fixed in a couple of minutes. The floor in our room is a bit run down, especially the baseboards in corners and the bathroom floor boards. Altogether, however, it's clean, neat, and comfortable.
Interesting stay. We've. Stayed here before and liked it. This timeouts tarted off ok but the second night the ac quit. I came in and the thermostat was set to 65f and the room was 78F. I called down as I was breaking out in a sweat..10 min latera nice guy came up looked around and left. 10 min later, sweating more he called and said they would move me. Ok don't like packing up at10:30 pm after a wonderful evening but I was dehydrating fast. So 10 min later (30 min elapsed time but felt longer) the same nice guy came up to help with the luggage. We schlepped downstairs and tried. The. Two fine keys he brought with him, and they wouldn't work. So I stayed with the luggage in the hot hall for another 5 minutes. Rather than make new keys he changed the room again. This one had ac working but was smaller than the first . He left and I jumped in the shower to cool off. When I got out I tried the loo only to find the flush handle was hanging off. I managed to take the lid off the toilet and get it flushed. I was so tired and didn't feel like getting dressed for yet another move that I just called the lobby to fill them in. They took off one night but that wasn't the point. The two rooms I was in. Seemed to be in bad shape. Pergo floors were warping and toilets not flushing. They renovated the lobby. Maybe it's time to tackle the rooms
