I liked Craig. Was dope. Was chill. Also sometimes wasn't dope and chill but for the most part was chill. Also it was dope. RA Coree Guillen was chill and definitely also dope. It's expensive, yeah. But it's also dope. And chill. So think about that. Peace out thanks
Food isnt great but it could be worse. Leasing office is nice with Justine, although its nearly impossible to get a room change if you get a sucky roommate situation. Lauren is the best to have as an RA! Easy to get to Chico State from Craig, and the bus service is convenient as its only a few blocks away from the dorms to get to Butte. The rooms are pretty nice so its definitely not the worst place to live, but don't get your expectations too high
I advise incoming freshmen going to Chico State to NOT live here. It is the worst place you can possible live in. Not only is it overly priced but they screw you over in multiple ways. The food is similar to that of a prison. If you no longer choose to go to Chico State, Craig hall will force you to break your lease and pay a RIDICULOUS amount of 2,500 plus the remaining amount left of your rent. Not to mention that they do a horrible job with pairing you with roommates. To top it off your floormates are not even in same age group. Craig hall is known for having a bad reputation...
To the Craig Student Living Building Manager Contact Reason: Complaint How Would You Like Us To Respond? Email Message: To whom this may concern, I am residing in Craig hall. I'm contacting you officially on the grounds of an unsafe resident's environment in the room. I'm disappointed on how you staff approached the following issues: 1. (Most important) On September 8th at 7:30am, the room directly above ours sustained a broken water or waste pipe, thus leaking directly below into our desk, bed, and bathroom living areas. Upon arriving back to the residents after school at 7:00pm, my laptop, cloths, legal documentation, bed, floor, and entertainment system all were dirty brown and procest an ungodly smell. I understand this may be caused by a issue out of your hands, but responsibility to be taken. I mean this by what follows. Your staff put two fans in our room and called it good. Mold is developing under the carpets and in the ceiling and the ceiling is sagging in the hallway. This is NOT a safe living environment period. The mold is growing and can lead to health and building issue down the road. 2. Broken AC in triple digit weather. I understand your staff is busy, but to not fix the problem and said it is fixed is straight up lying. After two work orders, the AC is not producing cool air and makes living in the room unbearable. Other dorms at CSL don t have this problem. I contact the maintenance crew to get a report log on the visit. Their actions included to clean the coils once. What did that accomplished? Why say it is ok when it is not? 3. Full sized cockroaches in shower, bed, floor, and microwave. This room needs pest control. This is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. 4. Shower head issue. I would like to first address this issue to you to see if we can come to an agreement. I personally advise you to make a trip to our dorm and investigate further.
RA Coree is the best RA I have ever had, and it takes a lot to beat the Star Chart from last year. Her door is always open if you need anything, she is probably the only reason I'm passing my Differential equations class! Not a great help with programming, but her math and people skills are off the charts! Coree is the only reason I came back to Craig, and we all know it's not the food or dryers. Like seriously... I can't get dry clothes here.... Even if I dry my clothes twice. But thankfully, Coree put up some incredibly useful tips on how to keep my whites white and colors colored. Coree even offered to vacuum my room for me, since I asked her so nicely. When the lightbulb in my closet went out last year, I went to see Coree, and she climbed up in my closet and changed it for me. She is honestly the nicest person I know who works here. She deserves a raise.
