I am writing this review at 3 am while unable to sleep yet again while listening to the loud party upstairs yet again. My name is casey watkins i recently moved into vista place. whatever you do DO NOT rent here! I cannot stress this enough, maybe if you are looking for a place where you can have loud parties and drink and smoke pot unmolested its for you, but if you want to sleep or study, look elsewhere. The courtesy officer is normally unresponsive,and if he decides to show up at all the 3 am party just continues as soon as he leaves. I have spoken with management repeatedly about the same apartment having loud parties 4 or 5 nights a week and always get the same response,"we will take care of this" I can only assume this means we dont care and will do nothing as that has been the response to this point. I attempted to deal with this on my own and the problem tennant told me"I bet if your apartment gets broken into you'll stop complaining". When i talked to management about the threat i was told once again "we will deal with it".I can only assume the way they deal with problems like this is to ignore them, as there has been no noticable change to this point.drug use is unchecked and rampant in this housing complex as evidenced by the paraphanelia and the odor evident in the hallways along with the condom wrappers. and broken glass.When we moved in our apartment was dirty so cleaning was required before we could even unpack. So in summary, if you are a student looking for a place to party as much as you want without being bothered by pesky parents or authorities this is the place for you! If you are a parent looking for a safe secure place for your college student to live and go to school you should look elsewhere as study and sleep are nearly impossible here. I cant stress to you enough DO NOT MOVE INTO VISTA PLACE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!

Do not move here. They screw you over all the time. One time I woke up to some weird maintenance guy walking into my room? No warning, nothing. They put you with people that rude and inconsiderate and when you attempt to talk to them about it the head lady or whatever talks over you, tells you that she's "not here to babysit", very very rude. You don't even get a chance to speak. It's just horrible unprofessional people to be managed by. I hate that the maintenance guy just walks into our rooms. I didn't ask them to fix anything in my room, there was no reason for him to walk into my room while I was asleep. They charge you for every single thing they can. Oh and trying to study is completely impossible because not only does their internet go on and off a lot, but there are constantly parties. I just hate living here so much and so does everyone else I know. Don't, whatever you do, move here. It may be cheaper but don't get sucked in. This is seriously the best thing you can read if you're thinking of living here. Please don't it's awful. I can't stress that enough. IT IS AWFUL!!!

You asked about whether or not we LIKED living in Vista Place apartments. For the first year, it was amazing. Fun games, met new people, but I wasn't TOO thrilled about being forced to live with 3 strangers for as much rent as a big apartment but with as much space as a regular sized janitors closet. The rent was...doable, and it was VERY close to Tech. So I decided to release. Which was the worst decision I've ever made in my life. Two weeks before the new renters were supposed to move in, I was informed that I was being forced to move to another apartment. And I only had 1 day to do it. So I grabbed all of my junk and my roommates and I moved to the new apartment. New is a terrible word. Let's call it, "apartment B". So "Apartment B" was the same size, but up 3 flights of stairs. Okay, my crap is heavy, but that's fine, we get a balcony! We hiked to the third floor carrying our many video game systems, TVs, and kitchen supplies and when we got in the apartment, it was a WRECK. The floors were dirty and covered with dead COCKROACHES. The bathrooms were filthy, you know, pubes on the toilet and stains in the tub. No one had cleaned the place in what seemed like 6 months. Okay, that's fine. So we snap on our gloves and get down to cleaning the disgustingly filthy place. About 2 hours after being there, it was beginning to look ok....not great, but habitable. But then we started hearing little noises. The rustling of paper, the scratching on walls. And COCKROACHES started coming from EVERYWHERE.They were on the walls, in the cupboards, the pantry and everywhere in between. It was HORRIBLE. So we get all our junk and get the heck out of there! A day later, we ask the manager about it, who says that she'll "take a look". Another day passes and we ask her. "I didn't see them" she says. Okay, it's understandable, I mean, they came out at night. So we drive on over, and there they are, in the dishwashers, crawling on the walls....so obviously she didn't look, right? So we take a video and pictures of them. A week and a half passes and still the place is infested. No one at Vista Place cares about their renters. It takes a phone call to her boss in Georgia, a call to a house inspector, and a very unpleasant visit from parents just so we can get out of her lease and not have to deal with her anymore. I hope this was helpful, I know it would have been if I had someone to help me like this.
