I like the price. The traffic is tough. The air conditioner has gone out twice and have had other negative instances such as ants. Although, these other instances are menial to the fact that there is not an emergency contact given to tenants from my understanding. When I attempted to call maintenance they route you to a call service agency after hours. The agency does not give you an emergency number, they do not inform you of when you will receive a call back. This puts you in a compromising position because you do not want to leave the windows open bc of safety. Like I said the price you cant beat, plus it is not in the city which is nice. I wish their services catered more to the tenants.
Leave here for 10 yrs, its been up and down service. When it snows, its take them forever to clean up just a common snow.
I moved here in August of 2010 on a 6 month lease. In January that lease ended and I was switched to a month to month lease, however, I was not given a new lease agreement. It was a verbal agreement. I asked if there was anything I need to sign, and was told no. This being my first apartment, I had no idea that I should have demanded to sign or at least see my new lease agreement. Fast forward to June of 2011, I am now trying to end my lease because I have found a new place, but can not afford to pay the down payment and security deposit, while still paying for my current apartment. I went to the business office to give a 30 day notice to vacate, and I was told by them that I can not leave without providing 60 days. 60 days on a month to month lease (that I have never seen!) I called the apartment complex a few days later and spoke with a woman named Beverly, who was very incompetent and transferred me without even telling me I was being transferred. The next woman I spoke with was Shelby, she was very rude. She interrupted two-thirds of my sentences and told me it was my fault that i hadn't signed a new lease agreement, when I was never offered one in the first place. I even offered to pay a fee to leave early, and they said the fee I could pay would be 2 months rent. Needless to say, I will not be renewing my lease, and telling everyone I know and even some I don't that this place is a rip off and if the prices seem too good to be true... its because they are. If anyone can offer any insight on what I should do next, please share! This is unnerving and seems unfair.
