Rent is reasonable, the location is very good. It is right on the edge of the Cheyenne/Broadmoor area. The zoo (one of the best in the nation) is 10 minutes away, and a family pass is about 150 dollars for the year, so I take the kids there once or twice a week just to walk and get some exercise. To top it off the new Bristol Brewery, the Blue Star, and the Eidelweiss german eatery are all within walking distance, and you can't beat that for anything. Edit: some folks have issues with the place. I'm not going to say it is perfect, but what place is? You make the best of where you are in life and some people are just unhappy sots. BTW, I never heard a single peep from my neighbors. This place has the most solid walls of any complex that I have ever been in. The parking is tight, so if you have two cars that is going to be an issue. Otherwise, enjoy, it is very nice (I loved the indoor pool too).
Horrible place to live. The apartments are clean, and the grounds are fairly well kept, but this place has major problems. The rent is far too expensive for what they offer. For example, the air conditioning units are extremely old. They are VERY loud, and very inefficient. Despite the fact that I asked for mine to be replaced, their solution was to place some cardboard over one of the filters. Totally unacceptable. I have been using an average of 24.7 kWh per day of energy, and I am not home for at least 10 hours a day, and don't use my heat in the winter. In addition to the constant noise from your air conditioner, you can expect to hear near constant traffic from W Cheyenne Road. Motor cycles, police and rescue vehicles, trucks, cars - all day, and all night. I asked them multiple times to fix the sprinkler system because it was spraying water on my car. They said they would, but they didn't. My car has hard waterspots all over it. The only thing they DID do: they moved a family in above me with a young child. He ran through the house banging and stomping constantly. This only went on for 6 months before it finally stopped. I believe they were evicted since I got their notice (the person who delivered it stuck it on my door). Their rent was 150 dollars less than mine! If you have a lot of money to waste, and you enjoy getting ripped off, this is the perfect place for you. Otherwise, don't let the looks deceive you.
I moved in 7 years ago and the appliances were falling apart and long over due for repair. Now, finally they replace everything that was overdue (and was paying a premium for outdated appliances) and now guess what? $250 rent increase! And that was after making a mess of the place and kicking me out for a day to do the upgrade.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and the staff is fantastic!
