Edit: Renewed another 6 month lease here, before I move out of SA for work. I'm pretty disappointed in the loss/lack of repair of many facilities over the past year, and the staff has really seemed to grow quite disorganized. I feel I'm a constant frustration any time I have a question, and the re-leasing process is confusing due to being digital AND paper based. For a $1350.00 2 bedroom, there are better options in the area these days. If we weren't moving out of town so soon, we would not have renewed our lease. That being said it's still a safe place and area, and they are quick about fixing things inside the apartments. Parking isn't too bad either. End Edit. Look, this place is not the cheapest, and they are very strict about things. If you want a quiet, safe, very nice place to live then look no further. As much as I may roll my eyes at their pool rules and so forth...it creates a far better community environment.

First off I want to say that I lived at this apartment complex for over two years. I started out in the sabine floorplan and when it came time to renew they wanted to raise my rent substantially. Which should have been a sign, but I was able to move into the blanco floorplan for just a slight increase. Not sure how the smaller floor plan was more expensive but that's how it worked out. After living in two seperate apartments in the same complex its clear that things have gradually got worse. They make no effort to correct issues or take care of problems. Both apartments had issues the Entire time I lived there and despite several service order requests and complaints to Tish the manager, nothing ever got done. Like Timothy said their payment system is terrible. The website they use is horrible and glitchy. On more than one occasion I paid rent but it never posted. I had to start taking pictures of the posting to show management that I actually did pay it on my end. One time I paid online and it said it posted but I never got an email. I called in the morning to verify and the representative said I could just pay again. I don't have an extra thousand dollars laying around to test to see if my payment posted. I had to call my bank to verify and it turns out it never posted. I had to repay the next day after it was late and I left notes explaining the situation. They never got back to me or charged me a late fee. But when I actually go down to talk to them thats when Tish will make sure you pay any fees. Its like you're better off not saying anything to see if they catch it. You actually have to check your email to make sure it posted otherwise it didn't go through. Its a gamble every month hoping it posts and that you calculated the proper amount. Again to reference Timothy they often leave notes on your door rather than call you. Then when there's a problem they say well we left a note on your door. Why didn't you call me? You have my number? Tish or anyone else there never calls you back when there's a problem, you have to stay on top of them. And even then they just pass it off to Tish rather than making a decision. Then Tish will just quote some policy or say that's just how the system works. She always say well the system forces us to do it that way.
This apartment complex is great just as long as you don't have any service or billing issues. That's when dealing with management is a nightmare. I moved out and bought a house, and my morgage is cheaper than what I was paying for my apartment, not to mention its a larger floorplan. This apartment complex is entirely too expensive and all they seem to care about is how much money they can squeeze out of you. For what you pay you should be treated better. Oh and don't use Time Warner, their service is horrible here. I had a technician come out and he told me that I was going to have bad service because the wiring they used in the building was outdated and subpar, and the only way to fix it was to have the apartment redo it. Then every time you call Time Warner the automated message will tell you that there is a service outage in your area, really? Every single time I called I got that message. Awful.

I don't know if it is the ream of papers I have in a file for every time I've called the manager about ants, or finding them on my toddler in the middle of the night that makes me feel so great about moving here. Maybe it's the payment website that neither allows me to schedule repeating payments, or the fact that I have to wait for my separate water bill (if it comes) and use a calculator to figure out how much I owe each month by adding it to my rent unless I feel like making two payments. My favorite moment, I think, was realizing that important things like a payment site changing altogether and not storing any information about you between payments get delivered by a note just kinda wedged in your door--and y'know, if that fool-proof technology gets blown away or taken by kids or whatever then that's on you. I'll bet it's actually that I pay even more money to have my trash picked up, and although no one owes me money when it's left sitting out instead of getting the service I pay for--god forbid I work a night schedule and put it into the closed trash can at the wrong time. If you want to pay a grand for a one bedroom for all of the wonderful experiences above, then let me tell you, the Walker Ranch is probably the best place to be.

After I read all the comments from other people, I have no idea for what they are talking about. I have been living in this apartment for more than 2 years, and this is a place that with good management. We have 24/7 hotline to call or fill a form on the website to request a repair service. All the staffs are nice, and easy going. The only problem is that, I got a crazy neighbor who always damage other people cars in the lot. And some neighbor doesn't pick up the dog waste after their dog. I understand it's hard for the management to control it, but it can still be an issue for me to not give a 5 stars. Anyway, I recommend people to live here, it's a safe place to live, you will see Range rover, Porsche Turbo, lots of Mercedes & BMW, Dodge Viper, Chevrolet Corvette, or many luxury cars park in the open space.

I have lived in several apartment complexes within this area and have to say this place is by far the best. The apartments are in excellent condition and the property is quiet with a great surrounding. The additional amenities like the on-site masseuse, coffee on the go, and valet trash service make this apartment stand out above the rest. And the customer service and management are awesome. I have read other reviews of tenants expressing discontent with the management, but in my experience, they are professional, friendly, courteous, and know how to manage this property well. The two times I needed maintenance done for the apartment, my requests were completed within hours, with an email sent directly to me while I was at work letting me know it was done! Talk about efficient and convenient. The only reason I would leave is if I moved out of the city or bought my own house!
