I have been living here for 2 years and up until recently my experience has been great. Besides the occasional noise (to be expected living downtown) I really haven't had any problems. Any time we need something fixed/repaired it is always done in a timely manner. HOWEVER, Ballpark Lofts has recently changed property management companies to Pinnacle Management and they are vicious. They completely changed how rent is paid (no longer accepting partial payments) which has caused us to be late by a couple of days. Keep in mind this is the FIRST time ever being late and we are welcomed with an attorney's letter threatening legal action the first day after rent was due. I was completely floored. Their staff was completely unwilling to work with us (even though we had the money to give them)! Needless to say, we will not be renewing our lease with Pinnacle / Ball Park Lofts.
My experience living at the Ballpark lofts has been nothing short of amazing. I've never experienced any serious problems, and the management has been great. I feel so safe in the location and the building is secure and always on top of it. The price is very reasonable for the great location and all that the apartment offers. I highly recommend living here!
We moved in 5 months ago and our experience has been great so far! When we first moved in the lights weren't working and it took them a week or so to get in and replace them but after letting the manager know they took care of it within hours of me talking to them. They also lost some of the documents we had signed but we were able to go sign with one of the office staff and they were organized and well communicated and knew what we were there for so I didn't have to explain. The pool , hot tub, and workout area are really nice and the apartments are really nice in general. With it being only a few blocks away from lodo It's definitely that downtown living! I recommend them to anyone wanting to live downtown and in the heart of it all!
Worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. They took 2 months to run an application for a renewal and screwed me over in the process. Poor service, incompetent staff, they take a week or two for them to review a single email. The community areas are dirty and poorly maintained. They have been apartment break-ins and cars in the garage are often vandalized. I would strongly recommend to stay away.
From the day we moved in, my roommate and I were counting down the days until we could move out. And now, one month after we have moved out, we are still dealing with them over several confusing late fees, move out fees, and taking our entire deposit (and then some). First, the building is a winding mess to get into and out of. They never updated the call boxes with our numbers (despite asking several times), so when friends come over, expect to have to walk all the way down stairs to let them in. Getting in and out of the parking garage is a pain. They only give you one parking spot and one fab, and the doors don't automatically open from the inside; this made the switch off in passing the fab between my roommate and I very complicated. Secondly, the building is an absolute mess. At first, it looks clean and put together (the lobby and front elevator actually are) but anything not in the public eye takes a backburner. It is clear they used the cheapest construction methods and materials and nothing is truely made to last. There are always empty beer cans and bottles posted throughout the common areas (my roommate and I found this comical and have a whole collection of photos devoted to the "Chipotle Frat House" that is Ballpark Lofts). On multiple occasions, there was vomit in the elevator or hallway--disgusting. There is also no recycling in the building. There is also a disgusting "dog park" with astro turf that makes the whole courtyard area wreak of dog urine. No poor pup should be subject to that. And finally, they will nickel and dime you for anything they can possibly conjure up a charge for. Expect to have your entire deposit and then some taken away. We had a few carpet stains and marks on the walls--certainly "normal wear and tear" from any reasonable person's opinion--but got charged beyond our deposit. The concept of a deposit is to cover all of those things, and the idea of being charged beyond that is horrible business. We spent a day scrubbing floors and countertops, but still received all of these fees. Their online docket of charges is very confusing to follow, and for the last month they randomly change to a "move out packet" after you've been conditioned to look online for charges. After moving out, we had over $900 in unexpected fees and have spent the last few weeks trying to rectify these while also carrying about our daily lives and jobs. On multiple occasions, my roommate and I have been told by staff that they would call us back because they themselves didn't understand the charges and not once did we receive a call back except to continue asking for the money with no further explanation prepared. The move out process was far from smooth, but truly just summed up a year of annoyances living in the Ballpark Lofts.
