I really wish I could give a zero as a rating but I'll settle with the one star. I don't even know where to start about this place. First I want to say that when I fist moved here it was great when it was under different management. They change management all the time and I hate the staff currently there Joanna and Kristin both have very NASTY attitudes to be managers. You can never find parking, you would think getting home around 6pm you can find a decent park but you cant and don't go out on the weekend and get home around 9 or 10pm you'll be walking a good distance in the dark to your apartment. I have complained about this issue several times and nothing has been done. Months ago a lady was attacked in her apartment coming home. Summer time is the worse time because they have these big ROACHES coming out of the vents that they claim they cant do anything about, they are all on the side walks and being that vents are in the ceiling you can be walking around your apartment and this big roach can fall on your head. The worse thing is the younger people that live here are selling drugs and playing loud music at night. You do see police riding sometimes but that doesn't stop them from selling. When I come home I always get this weird smell coming from my neighbors house and I then found out they smoke weed. Complained about that and nothing was done about that either. I will not recommend this place to no one.
I usually dont write reviews but after reading not so good ones about this community I decided to share my truthful experience. I have been living in Windsor Falls Apartments for a little over a week now and i must say I love it here so far. I've rented from several different apartment complexes around the Raleigh area for over the last 10 years so i'm very selective when it comes to apartment hunting. I was looking at this community years ago however never rented there until now. It was more in my price range. I must say I have the smaller 1 bedroom which had no dining/eating area only a bar but its just myself, so i can deal with the space. The apartment is perfect for me. I had been having trouble renting due to a domestic violence incident at my last complex in which i cancelled my lease however I told windsor falls my situation and they worked with me. From the time I called over the phone and spoke with Joanna(apartment manager) i knew that would be my new home. She was just so pleasant and made me feel more than comfortable. She assured me that she would work with so my only worry was not having enough for my sec deposit which i thought would equal my 1st months rent plus the rent for that month at move in. It only took Joanna a few hours to approve my application and my sec. dep was Alot cheaper than I thought, She really made me happy and I cant thank her enough. I was showed a model apartment however the apartment I moved into was much better than the apartment I was showed, I was VERY impressed, It was very clean upon move in fixtures, cabinets, etc you could tell they take pride in their community. Move in was a lil hassle but ended up working out. My carpet wasnt cleaned and i arrived with my uhaul and was told I may have 2 wait until the next day to move in so I wanted to cry because I knew it would be hard to find help and cost me more money to keep the moving truck being that i moved on a monday but the agent called around found a carpet cleaning company that came out and got the job done. I ended up moving my things in around 8pm that night. I still thank them for rectifying the situation. everyone i encountered here has been pleasant, the maintenance manager introuduced himself to me during move in. Very clean community. Its by far the quietest apartment Ive stayed in, my neighbors are very considerate. Only thing I have no ceiling lights in my living rooom or bedroom but i bought floor lamps, that eould be a nice add-on and parking is a nightmare! Ive never parked near my building, I get off late so i have to park upfront by the office and then walk around the neighborhood to my apartment. I know thats kind of out of their control but it would be nice if maybe assigned parking was put into place. Maybe assign each apartment at least 1 spot in front of their building and others 1st come first serve, just a suggestion Pros- Pricing is reasonable for what you get close to several shopping stores, and dining facilities as well as 540 & 40 appx 10min from downtown clean apartments cons: -Parking is horrible -dumpster/compacter area has garbage everywhere at times -no overhead lights in the living room or bedroom I would highly recommend this community! I absolutely love my apartment and the staff! Thank you all
I lived here for 2 years since 2013, every six months management will change and they will not keep the promise s what the old management made. Poor management.. They did not clean snow which is even very rare in Raleigh. You can see cops stationed in the apartment community hiding to catch thief's. Very old community. Pros: very near to ssn office, IRS , wake forest road, falls of neuse road, near to Millbrook school, lively place. Felt safe overall except few areas Cons: They keep increasing the rent. I've been a resident since 2013 and the only incident I became very unsatisfied with was the parking. Being here for this long and waking up to think your New car is stolen is poor communication between resident and the leasing office. Other than this my apartment is beautiful. No roaches nor ants or NOISE or NOSEY neighbors!! This is a decent place to live, with or without children. I'm renewing my lease!!!😀
I've lived in Windsor Falls since Oct. 2014, and initially I had a positive experience. The office/management was very friendly and welcoming. They had events for the residents and I felt very informed about what was going on in our community. Then in 2015 the management was changed, without any sort of notice. Since the change the management has not really established a report with the community as a whole, just residents as situations come up. Since new management has take over I have witnessed a brawl in the parking lot where someone was stabbed and taken to the hospital, my apartment was broken into (at which time I had to pay to have the locks changed even though I had a police report) and a few weeks ago approximately July 17, 2015 I was brutally attacked in my apartment by a man who lived here but according to the standards should not have been here. The man stalked me for weeks, approached me by placing a note on my car and when I declined he became upset. He escalated to the point he burst into my apartment punched me in the face several times. When I feel he kicked me several time until I was able to get away. He stole my purse with my wallet and several of my other belongings. Managements response to this was that if I wanted to move I would have to pay. Subsequently my car was vandalize and I have not felt safe at all. I challenged the decision and it was not until July 30, 2015 that they agreed to letting me out of my lease however I would have to pay until I moved out unless I moved by the end of the month (all of two days). While the day to day pleasantries were nice not only did the community not ensure my safety, the follow up on the violent attack I experienced was way below a basic standard to care for my physical, emotional, and mental safety. In addition to these very horrific incidents I've had issues with maintenance staff coming in home without proper documentation and issues with my running ledger. When I asked if the management how I might be compensated for everything that I have endured they made it seem as though me getting out of my lease was a gift although I already had the paperwork in process to get out of my lease legally given the circumstances. I hope my experience will help your decision while your looking for a new home.
