It's a nice area and it's really awesome that it's close to the beach but there's a lot of problems with this place. A lot of residents have mold coming from there air vents and bugs coming from....somewhere (especially centipedes). The tennis court is covered in slippery mold, tree debris and cracks (sometimes dog poop) making it impossible for proper use. The tennis court is actually used by residents for a place to play with their dogs without a leash. The racquetball court also has some mold and a basketball pole with no hoop or backboard. The volleyball court is filled with a hard sand and usually has weeds. The trees, while beautiful, are causing damage to the property. One of the trees near our house has started coming into the patio. Other than that they're just slowly tearing up the sidewalks. There are big windows and every room. They are very aesthetically pleasing but they make every room extremely hot. Not to mention the apartments were recently painted it super dark brown making our AC bill go through the roof
I've been here for 8 years now and will probably be signing again soon. NO MATTER WHERE YOU RENT Its BOUND TO HAVE PROBLEMS OF SOME KIND. There is everything you need right here at this location, and when ever we have a problem with anything they do take care of it within reasonable time.. Apartment living ,no matter where it is, it will never be the same as a single dwelling living; It takes understanding that there are a lot of people all in one area Trying to get along..Concideration and respect for others goes along way.I can't say there is any more noise then when I did own my own homes.
management never returns calls, maintenance is prompt but never fixes things the first try, (it took 6 months to fix my dishwasher). Neighbor smokes so much my apartment stinks, pool is dirty, rent is high, no gate guard, hot tub is always broken, management threatens to tow vehicles when you are following your rental policy fully. EDIT TO ADDRESS RIKIXASS: pool always had tons of floating bugs and debris, hot tub was always closed for some reason, yes i know there was a knob, do you really have to suggest i was stupid? btw, fyi, jacuzzi is a brand of hot tub not a universal word meaning hot tub. Neighborhood is shady, watched a guy assault a woman in the apartment building next to mine then make threatening comments towards us for watching.
I honestly don't know what everyone reviewing on here's problem with the apartment complex is. I just renewed my lease after living here for a year and although their pricing might be a little higher than some other apartments in the area, it is in a nicer area then competing complexes, close to the beach with a lake stocked for fishing. The pool and spa area are ok, and the gym is substandard, but if thats what you're going to take into consideration when moving into an apartment complex so close to Sanibel Island, you don't have much sense about you. I've had multiple issues with appliances and fixtures breaking in the apartment, which have all been answered and fixed within 2 days of my calling the office. The people living here are all of the same type, middle class and quiet. There is no vandalism no loud music no drug use and no riff Raffs walking around as described by another user's review. My apartment was completely renovated and beautiful when I moved in, the staff, well not the most intelligent people I've ever dealt with, are attentive and do their best to do their job. I would recommend living here, it's better than living in Harlem heights.
Worst apartment living in the area. Trust me, Do Not Rent There! If not for the vandalism and violence I experienced and then they charged me for ending my lease early! Best money spent was getting out of there. I am so happy to be out and in a decent area now. Please please hear me, stay away from Ion Lakes Apartments.
