This place is a nightmare. The staff are insulting, manipulative, and don't have any ounce of humanity. They are borderline crooks. I payed my rent on time for the year I lived there, I had zero complaints against me, and was respectful to the people around me. Britney at the office is possibly the worst human being I have ever met. during April, I was poisoned because the office decided to use so many chemicals to clean the apartment below me. No notice they were used, and I was told to "go outside" until the smell faded. It took over three days. I was told by the office, it was because the downstairs apartment was so trashed and stained by tobacco they had to resort to cleaning methods never used before. Flash forward a week. I'm woken up at 2 am by friends of a neighbor in the hall video taping themselves having sex. Next week, the new upstairs tenant moves in. He is probably 6'5 and weighs over 300 pounds. He didn't have a job, and would never leave the apArtment. All day and night, I heard every single footstep and smash from him lifting weights. Dust would come off my fan, and I even had a picture frame fall off the wall. After being kept awake until 1-2 am every single night for a week I finally complained. The guy didn't attempt to change at all. At this time I had a few days until my lease was up. A few days later I had them put a cease and desist notice on his door. Still, no change. Britney was VERY hostile, defensive, and rude, as this is a personal friend of hers. Finally after 2 weeks of no sleep, working full time, and trying to put myself through college, I snapped one afternoon in the middle of homework. I called the office for over two hours until Britney answered. When I told her I can't live like this she says "you have 20 minutes to come into the office and sign leave otherwise I'll charge you 1250 dollars". So I go in, bags under my eyes, exhausted. Without knowing what she was having me sign, I give up my right to 30 days to move out. I now have 17 days to find a new place and move....the same night, she re leased my Home to a new tenant. Backstabbing soul sucking litch. She was constantly agrresive, deceitful, and rude. Because of the reason I was moving out, it was agreed my 600 dollar damage deposit would be taken easy on. I took good care of that place. I spent 8 hours deep cleaning it, and was left with 50 dollars....that wasn't even worth the time I took off of work. Oh and then there are the leaks and problems with the "new" buildings, that management will not take care of. Because the office is closed over the weekends I could not drop the keys off until the 2nd of the month. I had to take two weeks off of work to find a new place, pay prorate to get the keys early, and only have three days to move and clean. It was VERY costly, and I received no sympathy or help from the office. When I called Monday to ask about dropping the keys off, Britney threatened me with pro rating if I didn't get the keys there within the hour. I seriously hope she has complications with her pregnancy. Terrible human being.
Let me start with I have lived in apartments now for the past 13 years and these were the worst..p I have never been so disrespected in my life. I was renting a garage and I like to barter so I buy and trade allot of stuff online. Offer up, Craigslist...... So I have people coming to the garage all the time to come look at whatever it is they might be buying at the time. I then received a letter on my door that they have received many complaints about to and from traffic and that I have to give up my garage. Also in this letter it is accusing me of manufacturing and selling illegal substances. As I was readings this I just felt sick to my stomach and began to grow very angry for leaving and accusing me of such strong accusations with no proof what so ever to help them come to there conclusions and just leaving it on my door instead of coming to me an asking to speak w me.. I have two little girls ages 10 and 4 and they both love to play I live there for a year and a half with no complaints as soon as I got new downstairs neighbors we began to receive many complaints about noise after so many complaints the management told me I had 10 days to vacate the apartment two days before Christmas. My wife was hysterical how someone could do this so I frantically I found us a new home and when it came to moving out I had to clean the apartment and painted the entire apartment from head to toe and I tell you I have never once been charged for after moving out of an apartment in 13 years but River Trail apartments gave me a bill of $1500 and there were absolutely no holes no damage nothing of a sort for a bill to me anywhere around 1500 or a bill at all. Needless to say I would never recommend this apartment to anyone and I would encourage people not to ever sign a lease apartment you will never get your deposit back and you will be charged an outrageous price for moving out.
I loved living at River Trail except that I lived on the bottom floor and i got sick and was coughing alot cause i was sick and the people above me kept complaining of noices. Also we would watch a movie and not have the volume up very loud kept it decent for ourseleves and still got a complain. After first complain we turned our bass down and some how still got a complain. said it was bass but how if there is no bass. this was after 8 months of living here. got a ten day notice to vacate or follow rules. hopefully noices wont be heard so much. or i can complain i can hear the people pee when im in the bathroom for noice complaint. gee wizz
Dont do it apartments are nice but over priced. lived there 1 year much better value in Puyallup. Also maint personal not very helpfull and take a long time to get back to you. If you have a second car good luck parking after 4 and on weekends.
I have lived in the River Trail Apartments for over a year. The apartment designs are very good. Spacious and open. The Management is helpful. Some of the tenants have been scary or noisy, but the management does their best to control noise and respond to complaints. When I first moved in there were car break-ins and the front gate was broken a lot. Recently, there have been less noisy residents, although we had a rash of noisy residents for about 6 months last year during the summer months. The car break-ins have been reduced, and the front gate has been fixed. It would be very helpful if they added a pedestrian entrance to the River Trail at the back of the apartment complex so we could easily access the walking trail. The maintenance crew is responsive, but the new crew is not as knowledgeable as the crew that was here when I moved in. Overall, I would rather live here than anywhere else in Puyallup. The management truly does their best to make this a good place to live. The design of the apartments is superb and quiet. The neighbors are friendly, and the landscaping pleasant. There is a problem with parking, but what apartment complex doesn't have that problem? My only large complaint about living here is the smoking policy. During the summer months when I have my window open, I am often bombarded with cigarette smoke. I think there should be designated smoking areas away from the buildings so I don't have to smell the second hand smoke. I love the 24 hour quiet policy. I never have to worry about noisy neighbors or parties, and I love the energy efficient appliances and design. Our energy bill is always low because the insulation keeps our place warm.
