Parking is a nightmare. People park wherever they want and ZERO enforcement of parking laws happens. There's dog poo in every segment of grass due to lazy dog owners and garages are too expensive to rent at $100 per month. For the amount of rent I pay, not at all pleased. I was also harassed by the front office for not paying rent when I had paid in full. Have had better experiences in apartment communities.
I should start off with the good things of the Parkfield apartments. They aré very nice and spacious, and it is close the DIA. Ever since I renewed the lease for the second time I've been having a lot of issues with the office people, and getting maintence requests done. It's been OVER a month I've been sending the requests online and calling the office almost everyday just so they can apologize and tell me they're sending someone the very next day just to get me to stop calling. Parking is terrible there is people in this apartment complex that own more then 3 cars atleast and the worse thing atleast one of them doesn't even work. I had to complain about all that because there will be times I get home from work till 8 or 9pm and have to park outside the apartment complex and have to walk atleast 10 mins. When it snows don't expect anybody to clear the the sidewalks you have to do it yourself. Maintence people do not work on in snow days or they're to "busy" doing other things. I know a couple of people that live in this Apts that they're thermostat, water heater has been broken took them 2 weeks to get them fix.. SMOKE FREE Apts that's total BS. I'm a smoker myself I use to walk outside the apt complex to smoke but ever since I notice maintence guys and other peopl smoking in Peking lots ect.. Well I started smoking in my own balcony, and nobody will say anything. All in all, do I recommend PARKFIELD APARTMENTS, I sure don't. This place is a dump. I can't wait till February to get out of here. I'm pretty sure I will receive better service somewhere else...
Very limited parking. I have asked about the parking situation, they promptly replied with "parking permits arrived in the mail today" and soon they will distribute them. Nope. That was a bold face lie. A week later, another person in the office admitted no permits had been ordered. Parkfield is close to Denver International Airport (compared to the rest of Denver) and a lot of airline/airport employees live here. Several apartments are being used as "crash pads." This means that there are 5+ cars in the parking lot for some apartments. Parking is limited as is, and this makes it tremendously worse. Dog poop everywhere. I pickup after my dog because I'm not an animal. There are plenty of waste stations around the complex with bags and a receptacle. Despite this, many dog owners are too lazy and self-centered to bother picking up their dog's sh*t. No warnings, no fines issued, the property management appears to be indifferent to such a big problem. Trash everywhere. A few months ago, Parkfield switched to another trash service. This has improved the dumpster collections, but too many residents throw their garbage AROUND the dumpster, not in it. Squirrels and other animals rummage through it and finally the wind evenly distributes it around the property. This place could be so nice but the trash problem is unbelievable. I have never seen a person picking it up. Other than that, it's an okay place to live. Management is polite, but not very effective.
I have been here since August and have paid out over a grand in electricity! Idk or understand how that could be possible since I'm never home nor my roommate. Almost everything stays unplugged or turned off. Will not be staying too much longer and will likely have to break my lease bc I'm afraid to even turn my heat on due to the prices of electricity!! The community itself is nice and I love my apartment. The staff is helpful and polite. The only other complaints I have are parking and my neighbors whom I've called the police on numerous times due to the amount of noise they make from beating on each other.
Just moved in about six months ago and I really do enjoy living here but the one problem is the Electric and Gas. It has gone from 40 dollars a month for the same usage to 120 a month. I also asked about this prior to leasing and was dismissed by the agent without a real answer. The complex is decent but I've seen broken windows go unfixed and some other odds and ends but overall it's a decent place to live but the hidden fees have made it more stressful.
