If you need a cheaper apartment then I would say this apartment is worth staying at. I stayed in the bigger 1 bedroom and it is plenty of room for just myself. The closet is huge and having the patio closet is nice too. I read reviews of people saying they don't have roaches because they are clean. I find that hard to believe. When I first moved into my apartment, the place was literally crawling with roaches and they even fell out of the cupboards when I opened them. And the fridge (gross). I had to set off 2-3 bug bombs before even moving in. I still get/see roaches periodically and I keep my apartment clean. The reason I don't have that many is because I buy roach traps and have also bombed my apartment one other time after moving in. You will definitely need to make an effort to keep the roaches away. Appliances in some apartments are outdated, some are not. It's hard to get through to the office. There have been plenty of times where I call and no one answers. Or I will literally sit on my phone and call 25 times in a row until someone answers. This gets annoying, but I am finding that most places have problems with this.I have been trying to call for the last 10 minutes actually and cannot get through (big surprise). Overall, if you want cheap, this place isn't so bad. I, however, am ready to move on to something a big nicer. Also, there is never a problem with finding parking. If you have that problem, I would say it's extremely rare. Visitor parking is usually available too, but every once in awhile it'll be full. I gave it a 3/5 for a cheaper/non-luxury apartment complex.
I don't mind it too much here. I've lived here for 2 years and I've never had any issues aside from inconsiderate people camping out in the parking lot and blasting music - but you cannot escape people like that. The maintenance people are friendly, and do what they can. I've had them replace Boards outside from fixing the garbage disposal in my sink. I haven't had any issues with bugs or roaches, as I keep my place clean. Most of the residents are friendly, the property management is nice and takes care of any problems I have. The newer property management company that took over kicked out all the felons and did some landscaping. After I yelled at a few people on several occasions and called the police on obnoxious neighbors, everything settled down. I'd advise you request a unit near the front, as the lesser residents tend to reside in the back. Overall they are a decent bunch of apartments - all of the laundromat facilities work and they have implemented a card system. I do agree with the other posts though about the security - they are beyond useless and mostly hang out in their cars all night and don't even walk the property. But, you must remember these are cheap apartments. You get what you pay for.
Very disappointing!! We haven't been here a full month and the apartment is falling apart. There's a beebee hole in our bedroom window, none of the cabinets close, some of the doors don't close, and it looks like they painted over everything! 2 doors have come off their hinges and last night our only toilet looked like it exploded. We called maintenance 3 times and still no call back what so ever! They have an answering service for the emergency maintenance service and that said that it could be up to 48 hours before we get any assistance. Oh don't get me started on the roach problem! It's disgusting!! They've sprayed twice and we even bought combat traps, they're still bad! There's a pipe in the center of our shower that leaks whenever you run the AC which being in Houston, TX, it's almost a constant. The gate has also been broken for almost a week and no one has even tried to fix it, which means anyone can come into the apartment complex. There's also the fees they tack on like the mandatory $60 maintenance fee on top of rent and if you want a decent parking space you have to pay an extra $25 per month for a permit to park in the covered spaces as well as a $400 pet deposit plus $25 per month per rent. Then there's the application fee as well as an extra $125 fee that you have to pay in order to get the apartment for the price it's listed and you don't get your deposit back. For the money you pay for this place, I would look some where else. We're very upset about our experience here and it hasn't even been a month, I can't imagine what the rest of the 11 months will be like.
I moved in this past Saturday... The apartment is great; however, there was no hot water when i moved in and theres still no hot water right now... Ive been calling the office since i got home at 2:30pm and i have yet to receive an answer... I even walked arpund there to the office, twice....and no one was there. The roaches are horrible...the are livinh inside the walls...ive only been living here for 5 days and im already ready to move out.... Wth i got my family amd self into???
I loooove my apartment. If you have roaches you should work on your cleanliness as I have never had a roach problem. I've been here 2 years going on 3. Cynthia is awesome! Maintenance is friendly. In my experience this is the only apartment I've lived in where there isn't people hanging outside all day and night. I feel comfortable walking to and from the dumpster at night as well as when I leave and get home from work. As for calling management rude if you pay your rent on time and don't leave your porch a disgusting mess then you wouldn't have any problems as I never had I've always been treated with respect. If you live like a bum not paying rent on time and not being clean that's how you'll get treated. We are all adults and management shouldn't have to remind you to pay rent or pick up after yourself. I love my apartment and don't plane on leaving any time soon.
