If you'd like to pay $700 a month to live at a Motel 8, then your dreams have come true!!! I've lived here for around 5 months now, and I have to say signing the lease was one of the biggest mistakes of my life! I signed a lease promising that I would pay $704 a month for a larger scale single bedroom with a nice balcony looking over a pond with nice ducks, fish and turtles to feed along with a washer and dryer hook up. Well, two months later I'm paying a $800 bill for rent. The larger scale singe bedroom apartment soon began to show its true colors. The doors to the laundry area are break daily, the stove is from the 90's, the heater clicks and clacks as if a dwarf is inside the venting ducts banging a chain around to a rhythm that drives you mad, the carpet is cheap, and the material and foundation below the carpet is rippled. Everywhere you look, you see CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP!!!!!! Everything in this apartment is on its last straw and obsolete! The nice little pond is filled with trash and is borderline disgusting! If you walk out to the pond near the pool you'll see patio furniture all in the water, along with every day's new type of trash! The railing on the stairwells leading to the second and third floor are all rusted and waiting to fall! Of the hundreds of residents staying here there is only one trash compactor the size of a dumpster that breaks every week or so. And to top it off the management is filled with a bunch of inconsiderate morons, as well as the maintenance people! I can guarantee you one thing while you're riding around in the POS golf cart they chauffer you around in with smiles on their faces waving at all the people that live here as the golf cart rolls through, the excitement and smiles won't last long! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!!!! DO MORE RESEARCH!!!! THIS IS THE MOST OVERPRICED POS I'VE LIVED IN!!!!
After living here for a few months, ill say its a pretty nice quiet area. The apartments themselves are in dire need of renovations. The floor has all sorts of dips and angles (you can feel them when you walk around) tub starting peeling off some touch up paint that they pour all over before you move in. Our a/c went out when it started getting hot, around april. its been an on going event and they still can't get it fixed completely so I've had to endure some very hot nights of sleep.
Wonderful place to stay..GREAT Nahbors ..Staff is the best I've ever had. Maintenance will help fast when called. Grounds is always cut clean and and beautiful to look at. Feeling blessed to be here...RWM
I may not have lived here for long so far but I love these apartments. The office staff is very friendly and maintenance is dependable. I feel safe enough to leave my wife and daughter alone while I work long late hours. They may not be the most updated apartments but everything works. I have run into a problem where my stove wasn't working properly and the maintenance couldn't fix it so they replaced it promptly. I also love all of the storage space in my apartment. I will definitely be resigning my lease when it ends. I would recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a good sized apartment for a decent price.
For anyone even considering moving into this complex all I can say is don't. The management is a joke. This labor day weekend the Waterford Apartments allowed a pool party which consisted of at least 50 non residents with a DJ, rap music with the N word and the F word being used regularly. My wife and I live above the pool and had to leave our own apartment to get away from the noise. Once we returned the crowd had grown larger and the noise level was worse. We called our so called courtesy officer and never received a return phone call. One of Waterford's own maintenance men was present during this party consuming alcohol and never said anything to the group about keeping the noise level down. We finally called Clay County Sheriff's office after several residents took it upon themselves to ask to group to leave. This resulted in verbal threats towards the residents by the group. My wife and I do not feel safe here and would warn anyone even thinking about moving here to find somewhere else to live. We will be out of here just as soon as legally possible.
