I've lived Here for about 3months I've had so many issues already. Our power was out for an entire day, our water was shut down on a separate occasion for about 6 hours with no warning couldn't even use the restroom. Our seeking started leaking large amounts of water. Maintenance is horrible, their online system takes days. There rent goes up every single year I don't know how people can afford it. Lastly and most recently new washers and dryers were installed and prices for that went up to $3 dollars. . If you are thinking of living here please don't there is tons other places that are better, the only reason I settled on this is because a friend/roommate was too stubborn to live anywhere else and now I'm paying for it literally and metaphorically. Take the time and search around it will be worth it.
There apartments are large. But the management sucks!! My friends apartment was literally flooding we were bucketing the water out of the apartment and we went to the office so they could call the maintenance guy and there was no one there they were out to lunch. So we took it upon our selves and shut off the water main. The maintenance guy showed up 45 mins later (once we got a hold of someone) and after he fixed the shower he needed to borrow my husbands tool to turn the main back on. I complained about my slider door no being able to shut completely or lock for 6 months it never got fixed. The dishwasher was broke for the last 3 weeks I was there and nothing was done about it. The communication between office staff and maintenance is horrible. If it gets fixed it takes forever!! The office staff is clueless about what goes on and how everything works. They will tell you a maintenance guy will be by the next day to fix something it might take several weeks and several phone calls before the next day ever comes. I am now having to fight to get more of my deposit back. There system is screwed up, they have too many apartments, and not enough maintenance.
The apartment was nice and big however the rent is RIDICULOUS! and be warned...they increase rent significantly every time your lease is up!!!! They charge way too much and if something is broke, expect some time for it to be fixed. There's also NO PARKING! every apartment gets ONE parking spot! street parking is super hard so expect to drive around the neighborhood a few times. Also, lots of college students live there so it's nice if you're going to CSULB because you meet a lot of people and the shuttle stop is a few blocks away.
When you have a problem, you call the management and they tell you, they will take care of it. After waiting for one / two weeks, mostly no actions. After calling many many times, the issue might be solved at the end. To solve a problem, you have to always push on them. Always make written requests (e.g. email) to keep the records, so that you can sue them in case of problems.
