My husband & I lived here twice, the first year in 2011-12 was good.. so we came back in 2013-14. Lots of Pro's the first year... lots of Con's the 2nd year. Pros- Beautiful & QUIET neighborhood!!! Great maintenance. Apartments are clean & affordable! Friendly, nice neighbors. GREAT location. AWESOME amenities & neighborhood functions. Only rental complex I found with a Recycling center!!! Sounds wonderful, right? Only if you can get through the Cons.. Con's- 2013-14 Management Is the staff rude because of management or is it because they are just naturally that way? They consistently lost our paperwork from day 1... tried to delay our move-in 2 days while we have our movers, all our belongings and no where to go sitting in the parking lot. REALLY!? THEN CALLED THE COPS ON US FOR NOT LEAVING!?!? Stupid rules, after you've seen the same staff 100x, they won't release your package to you, even though you have a mailbox slip and a key. Why are you still asking for my ID? Being impersonal is very rude & unaccommodating. Our Toyota Tacoma was broken into... 2 broken windows... items stolen. Police said criminals are perusing the neighborhood looking for guns to sell. Truck was parked in an inconspicuous location. (I own a Lexus, which is obviously not a target for holding a gun & park close to other cars near our door, which did not get broken into). Definitely be smart about where you park & what you keep visible in your car. SO... if you can deal with the con's, it might be a nice place to stay. We enjoyed our time for the most part... just obviously not the days we had to go to the management building.
It is horrible apartment. They never changed the AC filter in 3 years. we saw lot of wet areas formed with in AC, while changing filter our self recently. no routine maintenance at all. It is smelling house whenever AC is on. Lot of Dust Mite Bites too. Please correct appartment before we become sick and die.
Living here was the worst experience of my life. The complex is infested with cockroaches, and the staff is very unfriendly! The area manager actually hung up the phone on me, and offered little to no help. The staff is completely incompetent, and the complex is constantly changing. I lived there 15 months, and the office staff changed nearly three times! They advertised a "Business Center" to me when I toured the property, but the center was closed for five months! Do you think they made rent adjustments for the time the amenity was taken away? Absolutely not! I was also robbed at GUNPOINT on the property. Not to mention that a few of my neighbors were constantly offering me cocaine and other drugs. The property is unsafe and overpriced. The property sits less than one mile from two title-one schools and the rent is through the roof. Do your research on the area before you move there. There are far nicer places to stay in Charlotte that are priced just as comparable. Autumn Park is disgusting and the staff is even more disgusting. The new manager has the worst attitude; maybe she does not realize how many managers have came before her.
I currently reside here, and I've been under my lease for a little under a month now. I guess it's probably premature for me to rate this complex, but it is what it is. I like the place a lot, as it's close to everything I need. The apartments and overall community are quite nice. However, I was a little disappointed that the property person failed to tell me certain things before moving in, namely that the lease is actually for 15 months and that the electricity and renters' insurance absolutely had to be ready to go before being given a key. No other complex I've stayed at in Charlotte had either of those requirements as a requisite upon move-in. Additionally, my car got towed after being here for 2 weeks (due to the inadequate parking spaces, I was parked in a no-parking zone; no biggie, it was my fault). Not only that, but the towing company comes by a few times a week and checks car tags to insure that everyone's registration is up to date. The possibility of being towed for a lapsed registration would've been nice to know ahead of time, as I've not experienced this at any other complex. Maintenance requests seem to be answered quickly, but noise complaints? Not at all. If you move here and are sensitive to loud noise, make sure to request a TOP FLOOR APARTMENT. As far as rude staff members under the new management, fortunately I haven't dealt with that. But then again, I'm the sort of person who wouldn't let anything like that fly, especially since this is my residence. FYI: I have the 2-BR Blumenthal floor plan, I absolutely love the layout. There's no fireplace, breakfast nook, or bay window, but I didn't need any of that stuff as I have relatively minimalistic requests.
The new management is AWFUL! When we moved in there was different management, they were much more attentive, polite, and they truly cared. Now it is so different. They don't care if you have an issue and they are rude. Someone broke into my car and I notified the office, they said they would call and NEVER did.The computer room has no printer anymore and hasn't had one in FIVE months. They refuse to replace the one that was there previously. The amenities are always broken. The apartments themselves are okay... except for the fact that you can only take 5 minute showers before the hot water runs out. I'm not the pickiest person. In fact I was very happy when I first moved here. Now it sucks, oh and the prices have skyrocketed. I will be moving out at the end of my lease. Take my advice and do not move here unless you have the time to deal with all of the flaws that come with this apartment complex.
