I really liked the apartments, I had not trouble with neighbors. The layout was perfect and having a washer and dryer in my unit was wonderful. The maintenance was a little slow, but if it was an emergency, they would get it done right away.
This place is a joke; do not move into this apartment complex. When we moved in, the place was a mess. I'm talking drywall dust on everything and piles of dirt and dust all over the floors. There were nails and metal pieces spread all throughout our carpet, so many that we were still finding them 6 months later when we were moving out. I had to vacuum, sweep, and clean windows before I could even get settled in. The fridge was not even in the apartment before we moved in, and in the 6 months that we lived there, they never did come and hook the dishwasher up properly. It was not mounted to the countertop or balanced so it would shake and move freely when run or touched. The walls were paper-thin, and the craftsmanship in the apartment was non-existent. We could see every drywall seam, every poorly filled crack, every paint drip, and every tape seam, not to mention drooping in the ceiling. The doors were not even held on with the correct amount of screws. They cut every corner possible while preparing these apartments. The people who lived in our building were rude and disrespectful. We were kept up nearly every night by people blasting music until 4 in the morning, and awoken nearly every morning by people screaming. We were victims of vandalisms in the parking lot, and we were told about several other instances of people's belongings being stolen out of their cars. At one point, somebody was breaking into the dropbox and stealing people's rent money. Of the checks that were cashed, the people in those apartments had to re-pay their rent. The one washer/dryer that was provided on the lower floor was outdated and dominated by the woman who lived in the apartment next to it. Getting out of that place was a nightmare as well. It was agreed when we moved in that the lease was 6 months, and we would be moving out when the lease was up. Come to find out, we were charged for an extra month, which was taken out of our safety deposit, and on top of that, we were given an extra $300 bill for them cleaning the place. We left the apartment in better condition than we found it: vacuumed each room at least three times, swept and mopped floors, wiped down sinks and counters, ect., and we did all of this only to get a bill later charging us for each counter, sink, and toilet they cleaned, each room that was vacuumed, sweeping the floor, washing the windows, sweeping behind the refrigerator, cleaning light fixtures, and any other little thing they could find to add a charge. Absolutely none of this was done before we moved in, and we were not informed about any of this excess billing and added charges beforehand. Parkwild is a joke, and unless you want to be scammed out of your money, continue your apartment search elsewhere.
This is the first review I have ever written and only because it needs to be shared. I have had my bedroom ceiling leak during a storm, my closet light has not been working for over a week now even though I have called several times, my bathroom light has been out for several months. Excuses are made every time I ask why something hasn't been done even though they said, "It will get done today." I was very displeased with this place and there are have been several instances where things that are promised do not get done. Very unprofessional and not worth it!
I have lived in this complex for one year now.....In that time we have gone thru at least four managers. None of them seem to know what they are doing. They never answer their phone or respond back to your calls. They have lost my rent check twice and even tried to evict me. MAKE COPIES OF EVERYTHING and get RECIEPTS. The apartments are quickly and very cheaply put together. Paint rubs off the walls, pipes bursting, place is falling apart. When it comes to repairs, you may have to wait 3-4 months or I have even waited a year. Make sure you fill out your move in sheet and put cheap appliances on there. The appliances and fixtures are very cheap and always needing repairs which never gets done. I have had two pipes burst and do a lot of water damage in the year I have been here. Mice seem to take over your apartment in the winter. There are Large holes in the walls behind the sinks which lets in cold air and rodents. I will warn you....be ready to pay for high heating bills and AC bills because there is no insulation in these apartments. Its very cold in the winter and my heater runs non stop to keep warm. The Air Conditioners are to small to keep your place cool on warm days. The apartments are located in a beautiful setting with lots of wildlife, but watch out for all the Dog Scat all over the place. You can pretty much hear everything the next door neighbor is doing at all times. They are remodeling a lot of the apartments here very cheaply so there is always construction sounds filling up your place. Management seems to care about getting their apartments all remodeled before they will come and fix any problems you have. Their contractors that do their work leave the place a mess. They don't pick up after themselves. Watch the parking lot for nails. I have documented and taken pictures of nails laying all around their work areas... They can pay for my flat tires..... They finally after a year replaced the two year out dated fire extinguishers.....I even took pictures in case of a fire. If you want to live out in the woods, have a nice view, then this is the place for you, however, get receipts for everything you do and pay. Keep a diary of things broken and how long it took them to fix, I even take photos. Send your requests to them certified return receipt or they will tell you that they didn't know anything was wrong. This management is very MONEY HUNGRY so be ready to pay HIGH RENT and lots of silly fines if it is late. This could be a great place to live if they just cared about their tenants and cleaned up after themselves. However, the grounds do look really nice, I will give them a compliment on that......I usually don't take the time to fill out these reviews but I wanted to save some of you some heartache.....Trust me, take the time to look around and ask questions before you sign a LEASE here......
This was my second apartment complex that I have lived in. And I would NOT recommend Parkwild to anyone. Within 8 months they went through 4 or 5 different Property Managers because none of them knew what they were doing. I put in work orders when I first moved in and a year later, some of them havent even gotten to. The ones that did get done, it took them 4 months to get to it. Parkwild looks like a nice place to live (the remodeled ones anyways) but it is very poor quality. Paint pretty much rubs off the wall., baseboards come undone and arent even touching parts of the floor (so bugs can get in easily) The closet doors fall off all the time because they have no bottom tracks, I had absolutely no insulation in my ceiling so I ALWAYS had to have my heat on in the winter which will bring your bills way up. The pool was open maybe for 2 weeks the entire time I was here. But it got closed because of bacteria growing in it or something like that. The walls are paper thin so you can hear people coming in and out and talking in the halls and above and below you. I've even came home and smelt weed in the halls from another apartment and it reached into my apartment (which no one did anything about) Numerous times peoples vehicles were broken into (including mine) and the property manager did nothing about this. I would advise NO ONE to move into this place. But if you want a home where everyone can hear you, and you can get away with anything. Then this is the place for you
