Regular parking is now a NIGHTMARE (gets crowded earlier and earlier)! Maintenance is horrible! Don't bother putting in something important, they won't fix the problem but either tell you there isn't one when you're looking directly at it or put a "Temporary" band-aid on it. Leasing office gets ZERO stars. Only nice one is Christina (but they are ALL completely disorganized). New management/staff are extremely RUDE! One person will tell you one thing, another something completely different as if they don't work in the same office. Their office hours are very inconvenient for the average 9-5 working adult. Loved the ambiance of the complex (apt, pool, gym & valet trash service) but everything else got worse over the course of the yr I was there.
I love these apartments and maintenance and the staff are pretty great but with this new pool construction they didn't take in any consideration for the people who live in front of it. I get they wanna build new things but with construction starting at 7am every day and the people who work nights needing sleep in the day it really does suck because there is no reason they can't start making all that noise at a more reasonable time in the day.
This is by far the worst place you could live at! I have been a resident for two years at Estates on Maryland and I have had no major problems until just recently. Ever since MEB management left, and BH management started, problems started. There is no respect and professionalism with their office staff except Kristina who has been working at the front office since I signed my lease with the MEB management. I have had neighbors from above my own apartment accuse me and my boyfriend twice of smoking marijuana. First incident was taken place in the evening where I did not recognize an individual through the peephole through the door, I decided not to answer it since I was not expecting anybody. This individual was a male who I did not feel comfortable answering the door late in the evening. But he had the nerve to get his girlfriend to knock on my door loudly so my boyfriend answered it. Just then the girl ran away and this guy came around the corner asking us not to smoke weed. We assured him we don't do that kind of stuff. Thinking that was the last time they would bother us, few days later same thing but this time it happened at 12 am! Monday night at 12 am there was loud banging at my door and this female says not to smoke weed or they will call the cops. This incident set me on the edge. I did not go to sleep at all and I had work in the early a.m. Me and my boyfriend reported that incident to the front office and all we kept getting was a response that the office manager was out or in a very important meeting. So we kept calling and calling, and reporting the incident to different staff members of the office. It seems like they don't inform each other on these situations. Weeks of no response I decided to email the corporate page online to see if anything can be done. Nothing once again, until I resent another email to the same corporate page. Trying twice, I finally get a phone call from an individual who says they work for the management and is reporting the incident to their attorneys office. Then I get a phone call from the office manager finally, she said that they can not do anything. The only thing they told me to do was call the cops next time. Some sort of letter or eviction notice would have made my day but no, the manager seems like she only contacted me because the corporate office was contacted. Now I can't move out until my lease ends which is in about two months or so, so I am glad to leave this place forever and recommend no one has to deal with it like I have. People there have no respect. I have had parking issues as well, which was reported to the office multiple times. They had signs put up on covered parking not to back your vehicle in the lot, making your licence plate visible, otherwise it was going to lead to tow. A few times, my reserved parking was taken, I would call the towing company that was listed on top of the covered parking signs but as I consolidated with the towing company, they tell me they can not physically tow a vehicle. Unless the office manager says so, I worked in the evenings at the time and did not return home until 2 am! Of course the manager isn't going to wake up and give the tow man a go to move a vehicle. Let alone open parking is always a issue, this place frustrates me. No sense of help or service is worth this place.
PROSPECTIVE TENANTS BEWARE!!! I would have put ZERO stars but it won't let me. I have lived at Estates on Maryland for 9 months. Up until a month ago, the place was great! When you called in with a repair request, management was right on it--quick, courteous, and efficient. The office staff was friendly and happy. Then the owners changed to a different management company. The only person left from the old management company is Christina, and she's wonderful. The new people are either dry and robotic or overbearing and loud. A month ago I called the office to report my A/C unit was leaking water through the concrete onto the floor in the entry of the apt. I was told maintenance would be over to take care of the A/C unit. They did come and fix the unit. However, when the floor dried, the linoleum buckled and wouldn't go back in place so I called the office again. I was told maintenance would have to look up the floor plan since I am in a Platinum apartment (paying Platinum rent), they would have to order new linoleum. I'm not sure why since all the apartments have the same linoleum flooring. Two weeks later I had heard nothing so I called the office to get an update. The person I spoke with sounded like I was bothering her with my request and I was dryly told it would be looked into. Two weeks after that--one month after the original A/C problem--I called...again. At that time I reported that one of the two fluorescent lights in the kitchen was getting dim and needed to be replaced. The woman in the office said she would put in a work order. The ceiling is very high and the fixture contains a large, double circle, fluorescent bulb. It would take a ladder, which I don't have, to get to the fixture and 4 hands, which I don't have, to get the light cover off. It is going on another 2 weeks. The kitchen light is getting dimmer and dimmer. At night it is quite dark in that part of the kitchen and the linoleum floor tiles are still buckled and look like something in a tenement. My Platinum apartment, that used to be lovely, is looking trashy because the new management company won't take care of their responsibility. New renters beware! The management company couldn't care less about you. They won't take care of maintenance and, little-by-little, your apartment will start looking like Skid Row. So sad.
Love living here, awesome sauce place
