On my way back from the mailbox the other day I was approached by the Property Manager and asked if I would write an updated review since it has been some time since my last. So here it goes... Not so ghetto of a neighborhood, I have definitely seen worse. The staff: Friendly (kinda have to be in a "customer service" profession). There's a volleyball court that nobody uses, a playground that some use then break, and "of course" a pool. In reality it is not a bad little community but it needs a lot of work when it comes to some things. That's about all I have to say that's nice.... In the past 3 inspections they have violated my rights as a Tenant under Chapter 83.53 of the Florida Landlord and Tenant Law that states that they will provide a "reasonable notice" of at least 12 hours upon entry. They provided "none". Each of the days of inspection they knocked, unlocked, and attempted to enter, and the most recent time the employee entered without consent. And, since the manager wanted remind me that they can come in without notice if I request them (also covered in 83.53), since your employees were not requested nor did you provide notice, that made them trespassers Next will be about the Seriously Nasty trash compactor at the front of the community. Let's be honest, I know that a trash compactor is not going to smell like a "bed of roses", but almost every week the compactor is overflowing with garbage (out the compactor door, down the steps and walkway, and almost to the street). The last time I was there and it was like this (about a week ago), there were maggots all over the ground and I just about vomited from the stench. (I have photo's on my phone, it's nasty) Now, it seems that for whatever reason the previous property manager has been removed and replaced with a new one (at least according to this memorandum I recently received), so with all of this being said I will update this review again in about 3-6 months. (I am not a lawyer, so: If you believe you need legal advice, call your attorney. If you do not have an attorney, call The Florida Bar Lawyer Referral Service at (800) 342-8011, or contact a local lawyer referral service or legal aid office.) - Will be my next course of action of Pinnacle Grove does not start treating me with respect, since it's been 3 times now.
