DO NOT MOVE HERE !!! THEIR OFFER OF FREE MONTH IS A LIE !!!!!! AND THE WORS PART IS THAT THE STUPID UGLY OLD COLOMBIAN MANAGER OF THE PLACE SAYS THAT ONE YEAR HAS 13 MONTHS...SHE COUNTS FROM JANUARY FIRTS OF THE CURRENT YEAR TO JANUARY FIRST TO THE FOLLOWING NEXT YEAR... THAT IS WHY THEY SUPPOSED TO GIVE YOU A FREE MONTH ... YOU PAY 12 MONTHS AND THEY GIVE YOU THE 13TH MONTH FREE BECAUSE HER YEAR HAS 13 MONTHS JAJAJAJA HOW INCREDIBLY STUPID IS THAT? SHE SHOULD GO BACK TO SCHOOL. THIS IS FOR THE STUPID OLD MANAGER: ONE YEAR = JANUARY 1 TO DECEMBER 31 = 12 MONTHS "YOU CAN NOT COUNT ON JANUARY OF THE FOLLOWING YEAR BECAUSE IS ALL READY THE NEXT YEAR STUPID DUMB"
DO NOT move in here unless it is your last resort! They won't show you your actual apartment until you move in, all you will ever see before that is a model. I just moved into an apartment which does not look like the model, and the leasing office promised it would get fixed. For all of you thinking I was naive for thinking that it would look just like the model, I wasn't, but the difference is outstanding. I have been living here for over a month and they have done almost nothing. Actually, when they came to fix my front door (it doesn't lock correctly) the man said that we should consider ourselves lucky because our door works better than most people's, and left without doing any work. WHO DOES THIS?
I hate this place. I've been living here for 3 months now and I hate it!!! The parking it's always a nightmare, dog shit everywhere, literally theres dog shit even in front of my door! When you need maintenance right away they take foreverrr, by forever I mean days, weeks! When I first saw the place I though it would be a dream come true....NOT!!!
I have been living here for three years. Do you enjoy extremely loud maintenance noises at unreasonable hours? As I write this, it sounds like there is a jackhammer above my apartment and it's only 8:00 AM. You can hear the noise throughout the ENTIRE building. This isn't the first time either, it seems to happen a few times a month and for no reason. There is only one entrance on a small street, which causes traffic to back up horrendously at times. The exit gate is always "broken" and you can only get in and out of it with a card key that they give to residents, however it has a curfew at 11PM where the gate is locked even if you have the key. Ridiculous? Yes, especially since I live here and the wall next to the gate is a few feet tall and easy to jump. I have wall mold in my apartment behind a baseboard. I reported it, and the maintenance manager came along with the guy who "fixed" it. The manager was annoyed and rude, I guess because I was wasting his valuable time? All that was done is that they ripped out the old baseboard (under it was a disgusting black stain extending up into the wall), SPRAY PAINTED the mold under it, put in a new board and then took a picture of the "repair". I had also at one point overheard the maintenance staff in one of the hallways talking about how "painting the wall covers the mold". Not to mention that a few days after they replaced the baseboard, I found the old one thrown in the grass next to my apartment. I understand that there is obviously a mold issue in the older apartments and that the landlords find that it's not worth their time or money to fix this hazardous issue. Also, there are roaches in every kitchen area I have seen in this place. There is "pest control" that comes around monthly, but whatever chemicals they use seem to only bring MORE roaches. Even with all this nonsense, they raised our rent from $1200 to $1500 a month for a two-bedroom unit. I have provided some pictures of actual MUSHROOMS growing in one of the first-floor hallways.
Honestly my husband and I have been here for 6 months and we are deciding to transfer to another location. When we first visited the property it was sold to us as a dream, the hallways always reek & the carpet in the hallways are filthy. The maintenance and management there is a joke. When we moved in our dish washer and bathroom fan were broken we were advised that they would have someone fix it within the next day and still to this date after multiple phone calls it has never been resolved never the less even looked at. However on the other hand we had a rupture in the bathroom and within minutes they fixed it. (Probably one of very little positive things I have to say) The security is pretty nice, and for the most part the environment is "safe" although atleast once a week you can hear ambulances and cops on 168th.You have Publix, Sedanos, Navarro, Wing Stop, Mc Donald, BK Wendys and everything you can pretty much think of near you which is always a plus. I would recommend this to any starting couple or family that is looking for an immediate home. I can only speak regarding my experience others might find it great there. At least for us its time to go.
