Just 1 word - Pethatic.. The sweet on face management will try to extract whatever amount of money they can from you. They have changing rules, regulations and practices all the time without any notice to residents. They are just reaping the benefits of bieng on dorset where all seems accessible. Talk about buildings, most of them pretty old. I got pest control done not once but 3 times in 6 months, yet there are roaches, ants, bed bugs.
Neighbors are friendly. Had really bad problem with bugs: roaches, silverfish, spiders, beetles; you name it. Hallways have an odor of burnt curry. Hallways could use some fresh paint and new or at least cleaned carpet. Not much updated for the money being collected. Only stayed one year and now moving. I woud look around before choosing to live here.
My stay has been okay with the exception of the constant Pest control actions. I now see these actions as an excuse to inspect the unit. Seems to be at least once every three months they're in the apartment. I've never seen a single bug in my apartment. I don't mind pest control; however it's starting to feel very invasive. I feel like I don't have a reasonable expectation of privacy. If I knew to expect people I do not know in my home on a very regular basis I probably would have chosen another place that respects privacy a bit more. Perhaps it's the demands in the notice that erk me. "Please have floors picked up and clean.." - Okay.. thats reasonable, I'm good with that... "Clear personal items off tables and dressers and nightstands"... What.. Really? "Remove bedding from mattresses. LEAVE NO ITEMS ON BEDS" ... What the heck... It's my bed, my stuff... I don't have bed bugs."Remove items from closet floors. Place in center of room if needed" ... My king bed is in the center of the room. So every room I have to remove everything from closets and place where?... in the center of the floors that are suppose to be picked up and clean? I've got three teens.. have you seen a teens closet?... "Pets should be kenneled in cages, placed in bathroom with note on the door or removed from the apartment..." I have a dog and I don't want to cage him while I am out and I have no where else to take him. Note was followed up with a phone call indicating furniture should be moved away from the walls. I've got a lot of large and heavy pieces of furniture."Residents will need to be out of the apartment during treatment" Grr.. It's my private place and not only do I have these demands on me I have to leave my home while strangers go through my apartment. If the poison is that strong then I don't really want it near my birds, dog, or kids. If it's safe for the birds and the dog then there's no reason I can't be in the apartment either. It just doesn't add up. Seems an awful lot to ask of residents on a regular basis. They do say they appreciate my cooperation with this mandatory service. Again, experienced apartment renter here, and I've never seen this. Update: The constant Inspections and Pest Control/Inspections continue. The online tool to setup payments doesn't work. I tried cancelling a recurring payment to adjust for payday and it did not work so so NSF $50. Attempted to setup a payment account and again, the website is not functioning. Out of town bank and I do not keep checks, They will charge $20 for running a debit card Due to their website issues, (Doesn't make sense to me; I use my debit card for everything else without fees charged) it has cost me around $130 after late fees and bank charges. They have chosen not to work with me. No big, I'm not whining about the amount but demonstrating a general frustration with service and support provided. Was 2 Star; Now 1 Star. I disapprove.
Woodhollow is the abosulte worst place anyone could ever choose to live. The management staff is the worst part about it. I moved out off one unit and into another due to an unfortunate circumstance. They have now charged me $1100 to do so. I was charged $160 for them to clean my stove, counters, and fridge. WHAT ON EARTH COULD COST THAT MUCH!!! My clothes were removed from a dryer and thrown in the trash. When I contaccted the office abosolutley nothing was done. When I confronted them about it they said " we try not to be specific so that neighbors do not retaliate or point fingers at each other." IF YOU HATE YOURSELF AND ENJOY MISERY, UNITS ARE AVAILABLE NOW!!
This is the worst apartment ever! Don't rent here. Humans don't work at the apartment office. They'll nickel and dime you for every little thing plus they will make you clean their carpets professionally when you move out and charge you again on top of that. Very noisy neighbors, creepy people walking around. If Google had a very poor rating, I would use it. Stay away!
