I'm not really sure how to go about my rating. The rental office, event room, and social room are very well decorated. Some parts of the entire complex are renovated and some are in the process and some, not so much. Location is AWESOME. For one - MOA is in your backyard:) Second, I am a runner and thoroughly enjoyed the surrounding neighborhoods and parks. Plus, I never felt unsafe (single woman in my 20's). I only lived here for about 6 months and it was what I expected of a large apartment complex. Some noise here and there - nothing that required us to make a complaint, appliances worked fine and somewhat updated, hallways/grounds not always clean. But I was extremely disappointed with the customer service. The only time I received prompt replies (or any replies) to my emails were when we wanted to rent the party room. I didn't have my parking pass on my car for a 6hr period of time and was towed (I got it back from the tow company FOC but it was the day of my good friend's wedding shower and I had EVERYTHING - décor, gifts, etc., in my car....so much for a warning before being towed.) The bedroom blinds broke on day 1 of my 6 month stay and didn't get fixed until one week before we moved out. I made countless attempts in forms of emails, voicemails and personal conversations to get them fixed. Every time I spoke with someone in person it was always so pleasant. So, why can't they offer that service throughout all areas? It's been almost 4 months and I still haven't received a response confirming they received my keys upon return. I have given up. We didn't experience many water problems, but rumor has it, many others have. I never used the pool area so I can't comment on that. I really enjoyed having the little balcony but we had a wasps nest and they only took care of half of it. Bring plenty of lamps, there aren't really any lighting fixtures. The bathroom was quite spacious but the paint in the sink would chip off which made cleaning difficult. Anyways - not my best experience in the customer service dept. They need some work. But, I appreciated the location, the apt was of perfect size and the rent was doable.
Initially the building was pretty bad and it has seen better days. The newest set of people running the building seem to care. I hope they can turn this place around it has potential.
Don't move here!! For starters, we toured the place and weren't impressed but were informed that they were putting a million dollars of renovations in. Turns out, they've been saying that for YEARS. Nothing impressive was done and nothing new put in, aside from new paint and new furniture for the front office. The grounds and hallways were not in good condition at all. The water was always being shut off for one reason or another. And that's just tip of the iceberg. The apartment itself wasn't great. Water damage in the ceiling and walls that wasn't addressed, no matter how many times we reported it. And there were bugs in the microwave screen that they shrugged off. Now that I've been moved out for the last six months, they still haven't properly responded to my inquiries about getting my deposit back. I know I'm entitled to it because that place was pristine when I left it. I had it professionally cleaned and we didn't damage anything aside from normal wear and tear. When they did answer, they kept saying they'll look into it. Now they don't answer nor return my calls. And I do leave messages. I'm reporting this place to the BBB and am looking at getting an attorney involved. So do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. You'll thank me later.
This is SHOCKING but my Partner and I do love it here. The Office Staff are very friendly and they DO CARE. From what we have seen, the Maintenance Team DOES work HARD on keep up appearances i.e.(Grounds, Landscaping, and repairs). Village Green is a NEW MANAGEMENT Company that are working very hard to REPAIR damages done by Residents. So it is NOT their fault. How you live reflects on the Neighborhood. I believe the ones who are complaining are the ones who are CONSTANTLY RUINING the Halls, floors, and Elevators. Its VERY SIMPLE, PEOPLE NEED TO START CLEANING UP after themselves. It is by far NOT the Management's fault. We are very happy to live here, and are very excited to see the NEW CHANGES to the Complex. Lets just HOPE that when the NEW CHANGES occur that Residents will RESPECT their SURROUNDINGS and HELP to KEEP OUR NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN. It is a GROUP EFFORT.
FRAUD!!! We toured a 2 bedroom apartment at their complex, and immediately noticed how moldy the entire grounds smelled. Paint was peeling off of everything, and their ''construction'' and ''remodeling'' was half-complete at best, without any signs they had worked on it in months. We were in a bind, so we decided to put the $150 down to hold the apartment for 24 hours in case none of the other places worked out that we were going to tour, with the guarantee we will be getting it back... that was a lie. 24 hours after we cancelled our hold and confirmed our card would not be charged... Village Park of Bloomington Rent Collection shows up on our statement for $150.00. Not only is this place in poor repair and downright disgusting, but the office staff are clear-cut frauds, and will charge your account extra against your contract. Avoid them like the plague.
