Cuts corners by hiring low-brow, predatory towing companies to manage their residents' parking lots and vehicles. My car was towed for "invalid registration" but when I showed up at the tow lot with the cops, the police officer ran my tags and proved my registration was valid. They claimed that my tag sticker was missing, but it was there when I parked my car that evening. They refused to give me my car for less than $330. Park Ave apartments couldn't have been more unhelpful and rude during the legal process to remedy the situation.
Horrible Neighborhood. Unsafe. Bums and homeless people everywhere. Charged 1800.00 for failure to give 60 days notice - when office staff clearly said it would be fine as long as they had another tenant to move in which they did. Live somewhere else.
I have lived at Park Ave West for over a year now and I am happy with the current managing staff. They were very attentive to my needs and found solutions very quickly and efficiently. The apartment is beautiful and I always get compliments from all of my guests. The current staff is friendly and a pleasure to work with.
The location was the 1 of the best things about this place, the only other good thing was having a washer and dryer in my own apartment instead of a community laundry room. I lived here for 2 years and was forced out 3 months before my lease ended because they tried to pull some illegal crap on me and I wouldn't give in. And they still tried to bill me for another month's rent after they forced me to leave. The other residents were disgusting! They let their kids (or dogs) piss and crap in the hallways and elevators and not clean it up. Management did not care, they just wanted money out of you. If you're looking for a great apartment with income-based rent, skip this one!
Yes it is in a good location, sort of. But there are many problems with this place. We pay more than you would expect for a one bedroom apt, and get nothing. First, the matinence number just rings and rings, so if you have an emergency, better keep calling. The hallways smell, the elevators smell and are always covered in something sticky, sometimes blood. The office only gives a few days notice, in todays case two day notice, about when they are going to come in your home and spray ant poison. They make you move everything, and then don't even tell you what the poison is! Cars get broken into all the time and the managment will not do anything about it. We went for almost 6 months without a garabage disposel and having a blocked up kitchen sink before they fixed it. Oh, and they charge an extra 35 bucks to pay your rent with a credit card. Do not ever move here, you won't be happy!
