I have been here for almost 3 years. There have been different "managers" nearly every time I have had to go to the office. I have never written a negative review for anyone, however I feel as if you are looking into this property I should warn you. After paying my rent on time, online for nearly 3 years I went to log in this month to have a $42 "convenience fee" with absolutely no notification that this was going to happen. I ask in the office and at the management property office and no one seems to know that this is on their site. I can not log in with my account and they say I can. Also, in addition to rent your water bill will be a minimum of $60/month that added on to your rent monthly. I was told they add up all of the water for the property and divide it among all residents. That was not told to me up front but something I have just come to accept. I am only home 3-4 days per week for 9 months out of the year but I pay the same water as a full family using water daily. I did not have heat until my 3rd winter here. I filed a request several times and they always came to "fix" it but it never worked until I went at the beginning of this winter and really pitched a fit. I pay for monthly pest control because roaches and ants have been in abundance since I moved here but they only come to spray once a year. I have purchased all ant roach things possible to keep it under control so why am I paying them to do it? Parking spots here are great only if you have a fiat. My car has been keyed and hit in this parking lot. The "granite counter tops" are not granite, they look like it from a far but I lived here when the redid them and they only sprayed them. They are impossible to keep clean and look cheap. I was told I was going to have a screened in balcony by the pool but when I moved in I was not even near the pool and my balcony is not screened in.
Very much enjoy living here. First, the staff is incredibly nice and very helpful. I haven't had any trouble with maintenance, they're normally in my apartment a day or so after I submit a request, so long as I don't put it in over the weekend. Residents are respectful and cordial. I also enjoy how close it is to shopping, and the beach is only a handful of minutes away as well. I would recommend this property to anyone.
This is my first apartment and I really like the pool area and the billards room. It is close to UNF and the beaches which is a plus! I haven't had any issues and the ladies in the office have been very cool. If you are a student at UNF I would recommend Crescent Ridge because it is so close and the apartments are a good size.
I've lived at crescent ridge for three years. Friendly office people. Pet friendly, I like the new dog park. Lots of space to walk dog. I live around some god people too. Would recommend this place.
When it seems like too good of a deal in this case it really is. Roaches were plentiful; not to mention the small ants constantly in the kitchen and bathroom. Seemed like every time I went and paid my rent (prior to online paying) they were always on the phone with roach problems. Their excuse was that we live in Florida. I've lived here all my life. My prior residence did not have roaches that excessive, nor does my current residence. (and I live by a lake now) I actually have no roaches that I am aware of. I knew I was not going to be renewing my lease when midway through my lease we were eating and a huge roach was just crawling up the wall behind me to go into the ac vent. This was a regular occurrence. When my 1-year old daughter went to grab a toy and a roach scurries away, I kinda freaked out. But the final straw was toward the end; my daughter and my 9 month pregnant self were sitting watching tv and a very large cockroach decided it wanted to crawl across my very large pregnant stomach. Not only is that disgusting, it seems to be a health hazard. I could not open the oven without a roach scurrying away, I never left food out and actually purchased airtight containers for anything that had to be left out. (ie. bread, cereal) I complained multiple time but was always told 'hey we live in Florida' Not really a legitimate excuse for that excessive of a roach problem. When doing the walk-thru the lady said that they would need to deodorize the carpet due to my pet (15 lb short-haired, 5 year old, potty/crate trained dog; who was always in crate when we weren't home) Lady said I would be charged around $40 absolutely not more than $60 for the deodorizing. I told her if it was more my brother-in -law does carpet cleaning for a living and I can get him to professionally do it. I personally steam cleaned the carpets myself. Long and short I received a final bill that consisted of $165 for the cleaning. I never received a call letting me know the additional charge. After 2 messages which were never returned I was able to speak to Linda who said she would look into it and call me back. She did not. I left 2 more messages and then waited. Next thing I know I am getting a call from a mediator who tells me that payment is due. I explain issue to him and he calls them and they say no. Charge is valid and payment is due. I will be paying this bill next week. I understand that I signed lease agreement but you guys have shady business practices. You should not guarantee me one price and without notifying me charge me over $100 more. I have worked for apartments before so your 'hooking-up' of the carpet cleaner person/company has damaged your reputation with me and anyone who will listen. Not to mention your giant roach problem. I consider this a $100+ lesson. I went out of pocket for the roach problems (diatomaceous earth, roach traps, roach get) nothing worked but I tried to fix the problem as well. Also, I was never a day late for my rent. I paid promptly and expected good honest service. Instead I received a roach infested apartment with a dishonest leasing agency. Lesson learned.
