If you want a decent place to live where you are treated with dignity and respect this is not the place! Steer Clear! Management is unprofessional and rude. The buildings are not kept up and they may or may not respond to a maintenance request. They will tell you one price and try to charge you another; I signed a lease for one price and they attempted to call me back and say that the property made a mistake and that I would owe an additional $100 a month. It was not until I stated that I would have to take legal action did they agree that the signed lease was valid; nor did they want to provide me a copy of the lease even after several attempts to contact them. The cops are constantly driving around the property which is good but they have to in order to keep the crime down. The hallways are dirty, dingy, and the smoke detectors are constantly malfunctioning and beeping all the time; no one bothers to fix them. I also lost over $150 in food as my fridge broke and since it was a Sunday they couldn't be bothered to fix it and even during the week it was not fixed but replaced with another fridge that a different tenant had complained about from the 1970's. I had to call the office several times to get someone to my apartment and when they came they stated that the fan had been replaced less than a month before (which it hadn't) and there was nothing wrong but they turned it down and left an ice tray in it to see if it would freeze. Of course it did not as there was an actual problem with the fridge so I had to continue calling and even go to the office personally during my lunch hour to get something done so my children could have cold milk. On top of it when they pulled the fridge out they tore up the flooring in the kitchen and never bothered to repair. Just as the icing on the cake they send their move out statement directly to a collection company before even sending it to you and when questioned about it directly lie and state that it just a third party company not collections. They also want over $300 in late fees for the last month rent when every month had been paid on time and they had a month rent deposit anyway. Overall just stay away; they will also send you to collections before they even send you a first move out statement; they are shady from beginning to end.
This place is a joke!!! We unfortunately due to time restrictions didn't have much of an option other than to chose to sign at this place. Since day 1 I have had nothing but problems with the leasing office and property where I have lived less than 2 months in. Prior to move in I called numerous times about wanting to view a one bedroom apartment and each time I called I was told they needed to check and would ask for my name and number and would call me by the end of the day or the next day and I never got a call back. Once we got approved for an apartment we submitted our pay stubs and pay verification, and everything was ok until the weekend before we were to move in we got a call from the leasing office that they "lost" my partner's pay stubs and verification and they required he submit it again and have to be re-verified again. I did a walk thru on 1/23 with the leasing consultant who surprise no longer works there and he marked on our file repairs needed to be done and would put an order in to get them taken care (broken door in pantry, light bulb replacement in kitchen, broken window screen in bedroom, and broken shelf in hall closes) and someone would be out but just barely got it handled on 3/7! We had a broken thermostat and took over a week to get someone out to assess it. We moved in on a Saturday and figured from moving we were just hot but turns out it was the thermostat and it read 90 degrees for over a week, it took over a week to get someone out. Supposedly someone came in the middle of the week and said the thermostat was not broken and lied and said it's not the thermostat it's the boiler room, someone came out again and said oh yeah your thermostat is broken. Why lie to your residents? Since the middle of Feb. we had called in and in person submitted noise complaints from the apartment above us (loud music, just random loud thumping or dropping of things in the early hours of the morning and well past the community "Quiet hours") and they claim to have given them notices but they seem to just not care and the people above us still make noise and are extremely loud and disrespectful and act as if they don't ever receive these notices. We actually got a noise complaint, our whole building received one. I work full time and am a student, I am not home until 6pm on most nights and don't get home from class until almost 11 other nights, we barely watch tv never listen to music and if we do watch tv or movies it's a respectful level because we respect our neighbors. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! The people who work in the office have no sense of urgency or organization and pretty sure monkeys would do a better job then these people. Every time you call in and are promised a call back and your information is taken no one ever calls you back. I call and call and call and no one picks up. I leave messages and barely get a return call. I called to confirm an appointment and the leasing agent laughed at me, look I'm just as tired of having to call as you are to hear my voice but don't be rude to your resident and laugh at them. Have some respect, you work here we pay to live here. I can't wait until our lease is up in Feb.!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!
Total s*** hole, you were warned. Worst year of my life. It took around 9 maintenance calls to figure out why my sink kept flooding. And when I thought there was mold underneath from all the water I called to make an apointment as usual. The young boy confirmed it for a few days ahead. We'll nobody shows up for the apointment. The next day I call to find out why I got blown off and the woman says there never was any appointment made. This happened too many times where nobody shows up or doesnt fix the problem. The light in my fridge was out almost a month. There are kids running up and down the halls at all hours of the night screaming and knocking on people's doors. Drunk college kids outside being way too loud and blasting music. My 1 yr old gets woken up all the time. The pool here is nice except it's not heated so its always too cold to use it. All I know is I wish I would have spent the extra money and moved anywhere but here.
I have lived at Renaissance for almost 6 years. I must say it has had its ups and downs. The previous management AMC seemed to run it into the ground, the staff didn't care were always rude whenever I needed something. The property continued to be run down. Since Steadfast has taken over I have seen some changes for the better. The office staff starting with the manager are always available and will always take the time to explain things to you, you can tell they care for the property! It will take awhile but things are moving in the right direction. I will be renewing my lease another year and highly recommend this property!
This place is a joke. I have had so many issues that have required maintenance and even then, it takes maintenance a week a two to come and finish whatever is wrong even after you are told they would be there in an hour. With the new management, you cannot even use your after hour access to things like the pool or work out room. There are no meters in your unit so if it is winter and you don't even use the heat in order to save money, your bill is still so outrageous because you pay for everyone else's heat because of how the bill is split up. Rent has now dramatically increased and it is NOT WORTH the money.
