The reviews are absolutely correct. We've lived here for 2 years, and will not renew our lease again. I never really have an issue when I call the leasing office for something, they usually always pick up. The staff is good, but Juanita and Ramen stand out the most, they're awesome. Floor plans are HUGE and decently priced. BUT, we've had several floods in our unit, ruining most of our keepsakes, maintenance is great and arrive promptly, BUT GETTING THEM NOTIFIED TAKES FOREVER!!! I've got over 10 maintenance requests within the last year. I've called to request services repeatedly after doing the online request, and nothing happens. My neighbors are great, and I usually get a good parking spot as long as I'm home before 7 on a weekday, and 10 on a weekend. We don't have a huge issue with bugs, but I know in the spring we get the huge tree roaches(the ones you can HEAR crawl on the wall). Pipes have busted and it took a few days of complaining to have someone fix the mold, floors, ceilings, and walls, and there's still mold! I called 2 weeks ago about it and no one ever came. We can't use our ice-maker because no one wants to consume yellow ice. When we shower the temperature isn't regulated, it'll turn scorching hot during the best parts of the shower. I like the fact that I can smell what my neighbors are cooking, I've used that to add new spices to my foods- so that's a plus. Units are big enough for privacy, but small enough to monitor kids. It's relatively safe in this area, another plus. Dumbass people keep breaking the gates, but they're usually fixed within a day or two. They leave the gates open when it's really cold or raining. :) Dumbass people also speed through the complex, even though there's a speed limit CLEARLY posted upon entry. The only reason why we're leaving is because we're tired of our furniture being damaged with the frequent floods in our unit. THE MAILMAN IS SUPER GHETTO. He talks on his phone the whole time, and I'm tired of finding my mail OPEN. They're building a new fitness facility ( we won't be here to take advantage of it), they built a dog park, and upgraded the kids park. They've done more upgrades for the community than the last owners did. People are usually modest, and don't make too much noise during the weeknights. It's really not a bad place to live....
I have lived here for several years mostly due to the location being close to my job. I would not recommend this apartment complex to my enemy. Customer service in the leasing office is horrible, they can not keep a manager, parking is ridiculous, pest control issue, and trash everywhere. They recently had a fire that started in the maintenance garage. Residents were locked out of their units with out any notification. Residents were only allowed to gather their belonging during a 3 hour window that was designated by that apartment, your needs where ignored. Please just keep driving past this complex, don't wast your time or you will regret it. You have been warned.
I have been here 2 yrs. Did not renew my lease. I have been paying 10 bucks for parking on top of the 60 bucks I pay for my two vehicles reserved parking! Why am I still paying 10 bucks, no clue! The only real horrible problem I endured is that I had a unwanted house guest for literally 8 months. The only thing they kept doing is patching up the area the RAT came through. Then, it started coming through my stairs and my master bed room closet. Finally in July, they ẗreated"my apartment building and the rat died in my home! I emailed the apartment manager and guess what, I never got any response back from her. But, there is always one person that goes the extra mile to assist you, her name is Juanita and she was wonderful. With that being said, I will miss the Large floor plan and all the new things they are adding.
My most aggravating complaint "Rust and Muck" dripping from the A/C into my Master Bath. Upon bringing this to the attention of Lakeside Place Apartments - they sent over a maintenance man - he cleaned out the A/C he said! Well - my Master Bath is still stained with Rust and no-one has come as of yet to get it out. Who wants to take a bath in Rust? Not Me. So, that was one - two months...still waiting. So, communication here: needs improvement - allot. Can't hardly ever get into the resident portal - oh; only when rent is due - of course. So, I'll give it the ole' phone call and see what happens. Usually can't get through.
Lived there almost 2 years and my first apartment didn't really have any issues then I upgraded to a bigger apartment and it has been a joke ever since! Took them over a month to replace my AC when it was 85, 86 daily but told me nothing was wrong. Then mold started to form on my AC vents and told me it wasn't anything and NOW I have roaches in my kitchen which I'm sure I will be told they will send out a pest control and I'll wait weeks for that. When you try to call the office no one ever picks up and when they do they will take your number down and say they will call you right back and will never hear from them again. I absolutely hate living there an looking to get a lawyer to get out of my lease because I can pay just the same if not less for a nicer place.
