My experience here was a great one. My leasing agent, Veronica, was so helpful and knowledgeable about the community. She made my move-in very quick and easy! Awesome Agent!
This is the worst most disgusting place I have ever lived. Roaches inside, huge rats outside, hallways airway filled with the smell of strong weed and to make matters worst, the rudest staff I have ever seen. Yeah it is cheap but unbearable. All the walls in the apts are concrete so you cant hang anything up not even curtains unless you use a spring rod. Just a terrible place and glad they are letting me out of my lease.
Veronica Is the one you want to assist you. She was awesome with getting me in quickly and painlessly. The building is older, but to live in Buckhead at this price....Yeah!!!!!!
The absolute WORST apartment building I've ever lived in. Just about every other week the water is shut off, as it is right now and the office chooses not to notify any of the residents. They allow dogs in the building, even though it is a NO dog policy and they do not require the owners to clean up after their pets, so you will come across urine and feces in the halls and stairwells. The office staff is absolutely horrible, the property manager herself, Jada is probably the rudest there. They don't notify the residents of any of the dangers going on in the building, for example, there was a gas leak and they didn't feel that it was important to inform any of the residents. I wont even go into all the crime that takes place all thru out the building. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THE DARLINGTON!!! PLEASE DONT BE FOOLED!!!!! They don't even deserve the 1 star that I gave them, but I had to so I could post this. Unfortunately I still reside here, but hopefully not for long.
After all the bad reviews this complex has gotten i was skeptical about moving here. As a single female living alone in a city like Atlanta, Safety and money has always been key and i'm happy to say i'v never had a problem in either of those areas in the 6 months i have lived here. The location is perfect and anyone who complains about bugs should just get over it because unless you're willing to pay over 1200 a month for one person you're gonna get your moneys worth. While some people may say the apartments are run down and outdated, i disagree. It's an old building and theres only so much you can do as far as renovations with tenants paying 600-800 a month.i will say though that the appliances could use some updating and sometimes when i plug too many things into an outlet the power shuts off for a while but it always comes back on. I have NEVER had a problem with security because the back parking lot is usually empty of people or everyone is just coming and going, no sketchy figures lurking around. There is always a security guard on duty too. The only truly negative thing here is that some of the staff can be problematic. They lose files or are unorganized but if you speak to the office manager she's very sweet and always willing to help. and if you have loud neighbors this is an inner city apartment so you will hear them (but you cant hear those above or below you. overall, for someone looking for decent rent while trying to get through school (like myself) or just looking for a cheap place to live i would recommend the Darlington. It's a building with history, not a luxury palace. It seems like the only people who write reviews here are the ones who have faced the downside of living in the city. everywhere i'v lived for this price has been 100x worse. Urban life isn't perfect so you cant expect everything to go the way you want it. So yea, thats why i give it 4 stars.
