Really good property. Erin helped me with all the paperwork initially and showed me around. The apartments are well maintained and the community is always clean. They have two swimming pools so it never gets crowded. Would have given a 5 star rating if their pricing was a little easier and simpler. They just decide to charge us for basic things that you would probably get free in other communitites (Like the unreserved, open parking spaces). Other than that, its a great place to live.
I moved here in December 2015, and live in a studio (studios are located on the ends on the buildings). My experience has been great. I have a small dog, and this place is ideal. San Mateo hills nearby to hike nightly, a great park neighboring the property, free doggie bags to pick-up with, lots of positives for dog-lovers. As a human, the management has been nothing but nice and helpful. I had a refrigerator which made excessive noise, it interrupted sleep, and they moved quickly to change it out. A door was fixed within hours of me reporting it. There are new laundry machines which work great, and the pool is open all year and well-maintained. Constant renovations visible, it's an old building (built in the 70's I believe) but it's being worked on and communication with management is always possible. Negatives would be the fire alarm going off when I cook, but it's fire life safety -- not a legitimate complaint, it's working. Prices are not great but good for what's included. Great overall location if you work nearby (Cal-Train nearby, Molly Stones across street, Safeway, Trader Joes, Hillsdale Shopping Mall, downtown San Mateo, 92...)
Oh boy where do we begin. Days before we move in, the apartment ensured that Comcast was readily available and just transfer the service. Wrong, I had to call Comcast to confirm that it wasn't active since 2012. Day 2, we find out that my wife's car has been towed. She was in her assigned place with the permit clearly visible. They didn't even apologize and I had to argue to get her car back (on their expense). It looks like they double sold assigned permits... Do not trust management here, it took me two days to realize that they are rude, untrustworthy, and unhelpful. Don't live here if you have the choice.
It must depend on which building you live in, because ours is really nice & quiet... Generally love living here. The pool & hot tub are really nice, they could do with a bit more gym equipment, but it's ok. The apartments are pretty big, we have nice vaulted ceilings & a view of plenty of greenery. Maintenance can be a little slow sometimes, & the laundry facilities seem to be great in some buildings / often broken in others.. But you get what you pay for, it's cheaper than most nearby complexes. Generally the office staff are really friendly & helpful, and care about the upkeep of communal areas. No complaints really :)
I love the location and the staff is pretty friendly. Prices aren't wonderful but manageable and my neighbors are nice. I haven't had any issues with noise or being annoyed/ threatened. I can say I love my apartment with it's lament floors and patio area. I have a view of the green courtyard and makes me happy to see the natural beauty of the bay and not face to face with neighbors. I'm not crazy about the maintenance of the wash room or the hallways. Other than that, I'm pretty happy here and will be here for at least 6 more months.
