The apartment itself is good, but management is pretty poor. 1- you get a lot of space for the price. the area was overall safe and quiet, and always had plenty of parking. 2- we had multiple issues with maintenance not responding for 3+ days when squirrels kept dying in the attic. upon move-in, the apt had not been cleaned and we found mold everywhere, including the AC vents. they did hire new maintenance staff recently. 3- we were told that a verbal move-out notice would be sufficient. We moved out without issue. A week later we got a bill- $800 for not giving written move-out notice. we called and were told it was their mistake and that they would take that charge off, but the new bill still showed a $400 charge. so don't fall into that trap. with the exception of peter, the office was very rude. otherwise we enjoyed our year there.
When we moved into our beautiful and very spacious 2 bedroom, we noticed a few things that were wrong at move in. After work order, after work order, after work order they still have not fixed any of them. Also, when I noticed that our smoke detector was TWO YEARS EXPIRED and beeping a few times an hour I brought it in. When The guy came to replace it, he installed the SAME EXACT ONE and just said "It was beeping because the wires are loose... no biggie" Lastly, I have had issue after issue with the washer and dryer with no result. Every time the maintenance crew "Fixes" anything, nothing is done. Based on some, when I move out at the end of my lease, I hope they don't try and keep my deposit for the unsafe and un-worked on items that we have had to live with. ******Website to pay rent is broken, do not expect to pay rent with ease here at all ****** If they fired every person that "fixes" anything, this place would be decent. I should say that the staff is very urgent to place work orders, but then nothing comes from it. The front staff seems really friendly, so I have nothing wrong with them.
Office staff incompetent rude, and unprofessional! Should've known since I walked in and the Leasing Consultants were the maintenance guy, and a girl that looked 15. And the manager had her dog walking around the office!
We moved here from out of state, and the moment we moved in we noticed that they did not clean the apartment at all. It looked like it might have been vacuumed and light bulbs were all working but that was it. It was filthy! Blinds were dusty, there was still hard/stiff old dog poop on their narrow patio. I found a mop string stuck under the toilet tank (which gave me more reason to believe they did not properly clean and prepare for new tenants), and so much more. Parking also sucks. Unless you come home in the morning or by 6pm, it gets a lot harder to find somewhere close to park. It normally doesn't bother me with this, but as we found out through experience, the neighborhood/area is not the best place you would want to live. We have had our apartment broken into once. Two of our bicycles were stolen, one of our cars were broken into, and to top it off- our electric/gas bill was way too high. It was something we fought for months with Winridge and the electric/gas company. Come to find out, it was the refrigerator that was running our bill up! With that said, their appliances are not high efficiency and could cost you lots of money!! Upon moving out, we cleaned the apartment and made it look great. We even got carpets professionally cleaned and they STILL charged us for a damaged blinds that we had asked them to fix weeks prior to our move out. In conclusion- The management was VERY rude!! They are very uncooperative and wont work with you for anything. DO NOT LIVE HERE!
