Just moved into these apts a few months ago. I love the location and everything is clean and well kept. I recommend it.
I have lived at this apartment complex since 2011, our lease has run out this month and we need to stay another month since the the home we have purchased wont be delivered until the end of this month. Brentmoor wants double the amount of rent we have averaged for last 2 and 1/2 years. *They have not fixed the damaged floors for over a 1 full year, *Men's room has not had paper towels for over 3 weeks *Men's room has a busted soap dispenser for 2.5 years *Huge Roaches outside the door *Small bugs the silverfish on the counters, floors all year long. Decks and passages are paper this and you can hear/follow the footsteps of residents all the way out, not to mention they are just wooden slats. Security gate is a joke some times it takes them month to repair it.
My husband and I are moving out next month since we bought a house. We've been here since Dec 2008. Great apartment with a great price. (At the moment). The maintenance guys are great. The only problems we've had are with LOUD neighbors. We highly suggest that if you move in, you rent a THIRD level apt because we have obnoxious neighbors. We've had three different couples live above us, and they are all ridiculous stompers. So if you live here, choose your floor wisely. Also, we are very clean but did have a roach issue for a while. We ended up taping over the outlet in the kitchen because I think that's where they came from. Small ones so no big worries but still I wanted to be honest. Also, the gate isn't much reassurance because anyone can get into the neighborhood if they just tailgate you through. All in all though, we would still live here if we didn't buy the house. But we would definitely choose the top floor to live on. It's worth the extra steps. Trust me. Good luck. PS-The people who were talking about it being "ghetto" and the "sirens" at night, well the apt is right off the beltline and WakeMed is literally right down the road. THAT is what the sirens come from. The neighborhood is TOTALLY safe. So make sure you know what you're talking about. We paid that "amenities" fee of like 200 dollars and not once used a service. But like I said, it's a decent neighborhood and we barely put down a deposit so the amenity fee wasn't a big deal.
It is an awesome place to live some of the greatest staff especially Mr. Paul West outstanding dude!!!!!!
