I have never EVER lived in a place so horrible, and at a time I lived in the Ghetto. Just this day my brother and I were on the computer, in a carpeted room, not in a jungle or some place like that, no, just in a room using the computer. I never knew just living could be so dangerous, because as we were doing nothing seemingly dangerous my brother, out of nowhere felt a sharp pain on his ear, maybe a mosquito he must have thought, but no of course for such a terrible place like this it had to be a scorpion, and it stung him. This is just one of many concerns for living at this death trap. Examples of problems in this area are: bear bottles everywhere (including the elementary school bus stop), volatile biker gang imitators, dog fecal matter speckled everywhere, crime of theft and vandalism, and the often dirty and dilapidated apartment buildings( luxury apartments would be a sarcastic choice of words at best). Out of the 20 scorpions(numerous and unfeasible amounts of roaches (nightly)) the 21st scorpion finally stung one of us. Do yourself, and your family a favor DON'T EVER COME HERE!!!!
this place is horrible even the bums shouldn't live here !!!! there is scorpions ,cockroaches ,termites and more . There are alcoholics which are a local biker gang . And i have had a personal run in with the alcoholics . They have destroyed ,robbed, and graffiti-ed many peoples property's . they get drunk on a daily bases in the pool there are endless amount of glass . They party in the morning ,evening , and night there is always a drunk in the pool. They carry guns in there hand constantly . I have heard many bullets going off at night i don't feel safe around here .This place is horrible for kids there are tons of of alcohol bottles on the bus pick up .And the management is horrible. They front desk ladies are rude and antisocial they act as if they should work at dilapidated McDonald's they never help. They actually make things worst they are very unprofessional and nasty. I surprised the alcoholics haven't talked to them by now. There is dog poop every where you step and this place smells so bad .
I chose not to move into these apartments. When Hannah called to let us know we had been approved, the amount she told me would have to pay was $150 higher then we were originally quoted. We told her we would not be moving in. A month later, we received a call asking to set us up for our move in day. I informed the apartment manager that we weren't moving in, and that I had already told Hannah this. A few weeks later i receive a bill by email for a holding fee. I emailed the apartment manager back to tell her there was a mistake, that we hadn't asked for the apartment o be held for us. They persistently sent us bills, it took several phone calls to get it handled.
It the worst it has scopions, roaches, and worst. I have been living here for 2 years also in the pools there is glass from people who have Alcoholism probems . Were taking this place to court with evidence . Don't come here i beg you.
I have lived at Retreat since 2010. The Management changed in 08/13 from Equity to Bridge. The place has gone down hill there are loud partiers, drug dealing, garbage and dog poop all over the place. Many buildings are having cock roach and scorpion issues that they have not resolved. The water gets shut off without warning. When my lease is up I am moving. This used to be a nice place to live. They have 3 swimming pools and the only one that seems to get cleaned is the one by the office the other 2 are gross. When things breakdown in the property it takes months to fix. I have water sprinklers that go off like geysers so my area is like a swamp full of mosquitos. I can't say anything positive about this residence.
