We have lived in this complex for almost a year now, and have been very happy with just about everything offered here at AMLI. The only big issue we have had is noisy neighbors, which can be an issue with every apartment complex. We have complained numerous times about noise to the office and have filed several police reports when it is after hours, only to continue hearing the noise from the same neighbor almost a year into our lease. The property management has contacted the noisy neighbor, but we continue to call/bang on the wall/ask him to turn it down when it is after hours. Other than the noise issue, the amenities here are wonderful. The apartments are beautiful (both the renovated and non-renovated ones). We live in a fourth floor renovated apartment, which has a HUGE garden tub and pretty nice wood floors throughout the main living areas. There are also granite countertops and updated lighting fixtures in the kitchen. The landscaping is well-maintained and the maintenance crew is very responsive to repair issues. We have needed two non-emergency repairs during our lease and the maintenance crew came out the same day for both of these calls, took care of them, and left a friendly note. :) Parking is always available both inside and outside of the garage, and the property management has responded to complaints about winter potholes and had them filled. The management is also on top of ticketing cars that do not belong in the garage to ensure people who actually live in the complex are the ones getting what they paid for. There are many many pets living in this complex, and we have never noticed an issue with feces, odors, or anything like that. There is a bark park downstairs for dogs to run in, and there is a large open space park just minutes from the complex for outdoor enjoyment. The trash room can get a little messy, but only when inconsiderate neighbors leave their garbage in the room instead of taking it all the way to the receptacles. The property management is quick about cleaning this up when contacted. The fitness center, pool area, community center, hallways, and elevators are kept very clean by a friendly staff who can almost always be found working to make AMLI a comfortable place to live. The fitness center is almost always empty or just has a few people in it, so if you have a morning workout routine you will love having access to the center. The complex is also within walking distance from numerous restaurants, fast food options, and grocery stores. Flatirons Mall is also right down the street, which is very convenient. It is also very easy to access 36W/E from the complex, putting you 10 minutes from Boulder and 15-20 from Denver. The cost of living at AMLI is high, but it is comparable to all of the other apartment complexes in this area and after viewing these other complexes prior to leasing, AMLI was the nicest in the area and offered the lowest rent between Rockvue and Horizons, which are both located very close to AMLI. Since AMLI is set back away from the main road, the only people found walking around the complex are residents, making it feel very safe both in the day and at night. The new property management has been very friendly and interested in helping when issues arise. I hope this review encourages you to check out AMLI at Flatirons when you're looking for your next apartment!!

This review is based off of the current property management on location. Michelle Paulson has been a pleasure to work with through any and all issues I have had while living here. Advice to anyone living here who is upset by anything, wait to judge until you have spoken with Michelle, she will take your concerns seriously and treat you with respect you deserve and help resolve problems in a way you are comfortable with. Thanks Michelle, for everything!!! You are a fantastic property Manager.

Nice location. That's it. We moved into scuffed, scratched and dented "wood" floors (which were linoleum that looked like wood, sort of), holes in doors, a refrigerator so dented it looked like a golf ball. Some of this was rectified, but ridiculous it wasn't handled until we complained. AND.....Stained, dirty carpets they never cleaned, so we shampooed them ourselves, only to be dinged over $300 upon moving out for stained carpets!!!! And they never did a walk through with us, simply sent a bill over a month later. Smelly corridors, and they cant't keep a staff long enough for any of them to know what they are doing. My girlfriend and I are successful professionals who are down to earth, don't expect the world. But to be harassed with a bill out of the blue by this group for their own lack of attention to detail, care and effort is outrageous. You have been warned.

Positives: Fantastic location: walking distance to Safeway, Wal-mart, and the Flatirons Mall. Beautiful views of the Flatirons and Front Range. Sort of half way between Boulder and Denver. Our apartment (2 BR, 2 BA) is on the first floor, looks out over a grassy courtyard and the pool area. It's nicely laid out and roomy. The appliances are okay - I would prefer a gas stove vs. electric. The office staff has been very polite and helpful. The small maintenance items we've had in the time we've lived here were taken care of quickly. The parking garage. Ample parking and the ability to rent assigned spots, so, if you desire (as we did) you can rent an assigned space and know that you've always got a convenient spot available. The AMLI staff seems to be working hard to create a sense of community. Events by the pool, having area restaurants give out free breakfasts, movies at night in the central grassy area, etc. all have happened during the few months that we've been here so far. We can walk to some of the area trailheads, so hiking, biking, etc. in the Broomfield/Superior open spaces and/or parks is available within about a half mile or so of the apartment complex. Negatives: Several of the dog owners who live here don't seem to grasp the idea of cleaning up after their pets. The AMLI maintenance staff does some cleaning but there is still a lot of dog waste lying around. AMLI has actually redone some of the landscaping to remove grass and install rocks to try to limit the areas where the inconsiderate dog owners can let their pets go to the bathroom. But lots of the grassy areas are potential minefields. The garbage facilities are sort of far away from most of the buildings - not the end of the world, but sort of a pain. Flatirons is a community of relatively young persons, so on occasion the debris from a particularly good party might end up in the grassy spaces or courtyards between the buildings. We have woken up to the results of a 'beer can blizzard' once or twice since we've been here. But it's not often and the AMLI staff gets it sorted rather quickly. All in all, we like it here. It is not an inexpensive place to live - 2 BR/2BA rent ends up being about $1,850 per month with all the fees, water, etc. added in. But it's not terribly expensive either. AMLI Flatirons is conveniently located, relatively quiet, and has nice outdoor areas (pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, etc.).

I'm a life long renter and an AMLI resident for many years. Having lived throughout the US and in several major metropolitan areas, this is unquestionably one of the better managed properties I've encountered. All things considered, AMLI at Flatirons is an excellent value, and the location can't be beat. There's no question that rents are on the rise with shortages of desirable rental housing throughout the Denver-Boulder area, but AMLI is subject to the same market forces as other property management companies, so I figure they're competitive for the value offered. So, while I could move every year or so, seeking out the lowest bidder, it just doesn't make financial sense and certainly isn't a life choice. I hope to be here for several more years, put more steak and shrimp on the barbie, and chill. Good luck to all in your search for a new home. I found mine.
