My husband and I haven't lived here long, but from the time we moved in we have been notified about the numerous criminal activity. I had noticed a security drive around the building, but not everyday. I expect from a "luxury" complex, which has seen criminal activity constantly, to hire round the clock security. Sadly, today I noticed my patio set stolen from my apartment. It is the worst feeling, realizing you are not safe and that you have been violated in such a way. This apartment complex, although in a nice area, is allowing any type of person to come in to fill its many vacant apartments. I never thought it would happen to us, and now I do not feel safe in this place. The reviews on the lack of security are absolutely correct. It is to the complex's favor to make sure it has measures in place to deter this type of activity. There are no security cameras anywhere, there is no security monitoring the premises, and the doors are always propped open. Those doors could have an alarm when they are not completely closed. Sadly, my husband and I know AMLI will not do anything about the matter and will dust off their hands and look the other way. I recommend if you are looking for a place to live, to be cautious of this place. There are all sort of people living here who have many friends and others staying with them who are clearly not respectable members of society with ethics. I have already called the police and emailed the office. We shall see how this is handled and what happens from here.
We moved here from out of state and couldn't look at the property first so I was nervous, but so far everything has been great! Brenna in the office is very nice and very responsive. She made the move in process very smooth and has been very helpful with everything since moving in too. This place has the problems that any apartment does - some people don't pick up after their dogs, some neighbors are loud - but that's just the reality of living in an apartment. Maintenance is quick, the common areas are kept clean, and the location makes it easy to get to Denver and Boulder. I recommend it!
Overall, I'd recommend this complex and AMLI as a leasing company. This is a long overdue review, I've been here a few years now, renewed at my prior unit and just recently moved to a larger unit in the other building. The apartments are nice, noise is minimal (except hallways) and the staff, both maintenance and office is really nice. The area is very safe.. Maintenance staff particularly gets an A+, they've helped me on several occasions (lock broke, they changed it out asap, helped with large package, overall really nice when I see them). They try to update/upgrade (new gym weights recently, roads/garages repaved/painted). On the negative side, my biggest issue is doors and garage doors. There are so many broken doors, I don't understand why (key fob doesn't work, door doesn't close, handle doesn't work). This issue is complex wide, I've seen it in both buildings (not referring to doors to the apartments themselves). To me, this is an annoyance, but I can understand other reviewers taking it more seriously. The dog poop issue is resident driven, what people don't notice is that the grounds are constantly cleaned, this isn't a huge problem in my opinion. Hallway noise is pretty loud (heels, kids running) due to echoing, but it's for a few seconds, minor issue. Overall, these things are minor, hence the minus 1 star.
We moved here from out of state as a family and did not see our apartment. It's nice and meets our needs. Brenna and the rest of the office staff have been great, as well as the maintenance staff. The one big issue we have is the barking dogs. There is one that barks in the worst, high pitched 'voice' all day long. It can be heard for hours in the afternoons. Another, next door barks often. The one upstairs can be heard running around whenever the owner comes and goes. I wish the one down the hall could be quieted, as it can be heard throughout the entire hall. There is also dog poop on grass on the way to my car often. These types of owners should not cause issues for other apartment dwellers or make the apartment staff have to work harder. Also, the gym could be a cleaner. Overall, a nice, accommodating place to live and relatively pleasant with good parking. The location is great and the community center and pool are exceptional.
We have lived in this complex for 6 weeks now and our apartment is still unfinished. I have spoken to the office about finishing our apartment many times but have gotten no response as to when it will happen. We also were told 3 days before our move in that they were going to postpone the move because we had no hot water. This was no possible as we were moving cross country. Luckily, the problem was fixed the day we moved in but it caused a lot of stress for us and communication from the complex was poor. Then, on our move in day, our apartment was so filthy from construction that we had to clean the entire apartment before getting our furniture situated. I have been waiting on a cabinet door for 6 weeks since our other one was burnt in a fire prior to our move in but the office will not discuss it with me. The apartments are beautiful but the staff needs to work on communication and the treatment of their residents. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you are not flexible on your moving dates and if you want a clean, finished apartment.
