I had a similar experience as some of the reviews. I lives in the Corinthian Plaza while I was attending law school. I stayed there for all of my years in school because I felt that the staff was so nice, and helpful. It wasn't until I moved out that I was the other side. I did not receive one cent of my deposit back, and as a single 26 year old female, I am quite sure I am capable of keeping an apartment in fantastic condition. One thing that I was charged for is new carpet- that is a joke. The carpet was stained when I moved in, I even mentioned it to them before I moved in. I was told they knew it was stained and I would not be changed. When I was moving out it was a different story. I also never received a notification of where my deposit check was (as it says you will receive in the lease.) Perhaps they spent it and that is why I couldn't get it back! I felt extremely betrayed by the staff upon moving out.
While living in the apartments I loved the staff. The landlord was always nice, friendly and talkative. I was so sad to move away from them because my roommate and I really trusted and liked them. As even she said, we were like family. Then we moved out. They charged us for everything that could have been wrong then fabricated the rest, and charged us for that too. I cant imagine treatng family like that. Not only did they do this to us, but my roommate and I had two friends living in the apartment building. There was a hole in the wall that my friend asked me to plaster over for her specifically so she would not be charged for it. I did the work. The landloard charged her for replastering the wall. A word of caution, the land lord claims to have treated them like family too.
